"Sai, are you almost ready?"

"Yeah, I'm just putting on my earrings."

"Hurry up, you're the one who said that we need to leave out by seven."

"Give me a minute, gosh." I look down at my phone ad see that it's going on 7:10 at night. Foreign waves his watch at me trying to rush me along even more.

"I'm getting ready to leave yo ass."

"And go where, you don't know where the place is honey?" I spray my perfume that he got me for my birthday and touch up my make up. Foreign walks in behind me and pushes me into the sink with his pelvis against my back. He scowls at me before pulling my hair making my head fall back and kisses my lip.

"Come on, you're out of time."

"Good thing I'm ready."

"How are you going to give me a set time to be ready but you still not set to go?" I roll my eyes and refrain from saying something slick in response.

"I said that I'm ready, let me see your keys."

"Here." He passes them to me so I can driver his car. We walk out of my apartment and to his car. As soon as we get into the car, I put in the address.

Foreign and I always have to one up each other no matter what the occasion is. When we went to Za's for Thanksgiving, Rome told me about this hole in the wall tattoo place that also allowed people to show their talent in a mini competition. That's exactly what Foreign's going to be doing tonight.

"Are you excited to see what I have planned for us?"

"Ecstatic."

"Cheer up babe, this is something that you're going to love."

"I'm just tired, been working all day."

"I'm sorry pook pook, but what I have planned should wake you up." I pull out of the space and go to the stop sign to get out of our building section.

"Hope so." He fixes himself trying to get comfortable. I look at him feeling bad that he's been running himself ragged.

"You've been taking your medicine making sure you're eating right?"

"Yeah."

"Has your sickle cell been acting up?"

"I'm cool." I grab his face forcing him to look me in the eyes and tell me the truth.

"Don't lie to me, I know how you get."

"I'm fine, promise."

"Don't make me fuck you up."

"You better watch who you talking to, little girl."

"Whatever." I put my blinkers on and turn right onto the main road. Best on Earth by Russ and Bia comes on getting me excited. This has been on repeat ever since I put it on my playlist.

"That's what I thought."

"You really think someone's scared of you."

"I don't hear you talking yo shit anymore."

"I'm choosing my battles wisely."

"Yeah." I roll my eyes and start to sing some of the parts that I know.

"I'm not filling up baby I let him gas me." Russ's part comes on and I immediately start to rap putting my own spin on it. "My ass fatter than fat and I give good throat. Sit my cat on his lap he give it good strokes."
