Everyone gathers  around my living room finding available seats. We all discuss a slew of topics. This is the first time since I moved in that all my friends are over here. It feels good to have everyone here where no one's fighting or trying to be the boss. Foreign is all up under me trying to make up for lost time. It's been a week since we've been around each other. Hard work and no play.

"What topic are we on now?" I ask rejoining the group with my drink in my hand. Foreign offers me a seat on his lap and I happily take it.

"Double standards for men and women. Some say there is: some say there isn't."

"There is a double standard for men and women." Merci declares getting very passionate.

"Give me an example." Here we go with Wes playing devil's advocate.

"Body counts. If a woman has a high body count she's a hoe and not wifeable. But if a man has a high body count he's a man and that's what he's supposed to do."

"Lets not act like some females open their legs for niggas that they feel like has money."

"The same way that niggas give their dicks away for women who they think have good pussy."

"Hey, my sister is in here and cool it with the vulgarity." Even though Lynx is eighteen and in college, it doesn't take away from the fact that she doesn't need to hear the harsh language that people are using.

"For, I'm grown."

"I know that'st right." I high five her gaining a look from Foreign. Lynx is an adult and it's not like she's never heard these words before.

"Don't encourage her."

"Boy please."

"All I'm saying is if she doesn't want to be called a hoe then she needs to keep her legs closed."

"Do you know how easy it is for a woman to get her name ruined just because of some guy trying to flex like he hit? You niggas will believe anything your boy says just so he can portrayed as a "man" and that shit is weak."

"Not all niggas do that."

"No but most of them do."

"Lets talk about the whole situation with dating. You guys make it so hard for your daughters to date but it's cool if your son does it." Elle interjects looking directly at King when she speaks. If he doesn't chose his words wisely he can definitely be in trouble with her.

"You girls are precious and we know how guys can be especially the young ones."King responds trying to stay on her good side. Smart choice.

"That's sweet but it sounds like bullshit. If girls can't date then who are you boys dating because I know it's not other guys."

"Don't try to be funny, you know damn well that we're not dating other niggas."

"Instead of telling girls that they should stay clear of certain boys why not just teach your sons how to act appropriate."

"Exactly." I interject putting my two cents in.

"Why can't you guys teach your daughters how to behave and not go after those certain type of guys?"

"Hey now lets lighten the animosity."

"All I'm saying is that the standards need to change."

"I can agree with how some guys act because before I met Elle I was the same way."

"But he's a changed man."

"Thanks to you baby." They kiss getting all lovey dovey. How cute are they, reminds me of me and Foreign.
