"My steak is too rare," Veronica complained about her overpriced meal. Fiona smiled and lifted her own plate, "Have this one, King Henry!" The pair swapped plates and giggled.

We were at a fancy, expensive restaurant with a world-class salad bar. Fiona got us here because she found a handbag on the L and took it.

"What was the final tally in the purse?" Lip wondered with a mouthful of fries. "Five hundred ad twenty-six bucks," Fiona told him. Lip's forehead creased.

"Jesus, who carries around that kind of cash?" Ian gawked. Fiona rummaged in the bag, "Um..." she pulled out the purse and opened it, "Kim Furtado." Veronica scoffed, "Some rich bitch."

"In our neighbourhood?" I puzzled, shovelling a forkful of rice into my mouth. Fiona's shoulders raised, "I was in Glencoe having a coffee with a friend from high school," she explained.

"The guy from your diary?" Carl sniggered, a smirk spread across his face. "Shut up and eat your spaghetti taco," Fiona scolded.

I noticed Veronica examining the bag, "You think it's real?" She asked, her eyebrow quirking up, "And if so, can I have it?"

"It is, the LV's are two inches apart, seams are even," Lip listed, "Stitching's yellow and the leather has turned dark brown from oxidation," he informed, we all stared at him.

"I read a lot," Lip shrugged.

Fiona turned in her seat to look at Debbie who sat at a smaller table with Ethel and Liam. "Debs, have more salad, it's all you can eat!"

"Hey, Fi. You know what you should do?" Lip asked as Fiona turned back around. "Ride the L more often?" She grinned.

Lip had the bag owner's cell in his hand, "Here, found her number," he put the phone to his ear, "Tell her you have the purse. I bet she'll give you a reward." Fiona nodded slowly. "Shit went to voicemail."

He passed the phone to Fiona, "Leave a message." Fiona put the phone to her ear, "Hi, Kim. My name's Fiona. I found your purse on the L. Give me a call back on your cell so that I can get it back to you, okay, bye!"

"Perfect," Lip muttered. I perked up, "Wait, don't give it back unless she gives you at least 200 bucks," I told her, Fiona chuckled and nodded.

"All right guys. Let's stock up on chicken nuggets for home," Lip stood, Ian, Carl and I followed him. "I heart sizzler!" Carl grinned.

Ian and I walked through the back door after finishing our morning run. Lip was steering Carl through from the living room, "Look, buddy. You gotta get a job this summer so we can make it through winter."
