Trigger Warning: Abuse
I spent the first half-hour of the class thinking about what Mandy had said. Was Mickey actually getting married? It hurt to think about, I really thought he was beginning to open up. Who was he marrying? Why was he marrying her? Is he being forced?
I was so frustrated, I felt like crying. But I was still in the middle of a history class which I had no interest in paying attention to.
I glanced over at Mandy who was in the row beside mine, a seat forward, I checked the teacher wasn't looking before leaning across, "Is Mickey seriously getting married?" I whispered.
She looked back at me, "Yeah, like in a couple weeks," she whispered back with a nod. "Jesus," I sighed, "To who? I didn't even know he was seeing anyone."
"Well, I don't think he was seeing her so much as he was doing her," Mandy stated, raising her dark eyebrows as a small smirk appeared on her lips. "So why is he marrying her?" I asked.
"She's knocked up," Mandy shrugged. I scoffed, "So? I don't get it," I confessed, "Is your dad making him?" I wondered.
Mandy rolled her eyes, "I don't know, why do you give a shit?" She shook her head lightly before turning back to draw on the desk. I swallowed thickly and slumped back into my chair with a sigh.

After overthinking it for the rest of the school day, I decided to go to an abandoned building in the hope of finding Mickey.
To my luck, when I ran up the stairs that were about to collapse, I walked into a large room and found him. His black hair was a scruffy mess as he sat leaning against a wall, a half-empty bottle of vodka in his hand.
"So is it true?" I asked, walking further into the room, "You're getting married?" Mickey didn't answer. "So, uh, so it is?" I demanded, "Is it Angie Zagho or some other piece of trash you screw so you can pretend I don't matter to you?"
I watched Mickey sigh and toss the bottle lid across the room, my nostrils flared and I noticed another bottle on the floor. I stomped over and picked it up before launching it at a wall, the glass shattering on impact.
"Hey, what the fuck Gallagher?" Mickey yelled making me throw my arms up. "Oh! He speaks!" I scoffed, watching him stand up and walk for the door.
I followed him outside, "So that's it, we're over?" I guessed as Mickey kept walking, "Your dad beats the shit out of us and you're just gonna get married, no conversation? Nothing?"
I jogged to reach him and I grabbed his shoulder in an attempt to make him look at me, "Get the fuck off me," he snapped, flinching away from me. I scoffed, "Oh, you wanna bash?" I raised my eyebrows, "That make you feel like a man?" I growled and took a step forward, "Come on, go ahead, do it!"
