I hadn't been to school in a few weeks. Fiona somehow believing me every time I told her I was sick, I probably looked it, staying in bed all day does that to someone.

It was the morning and I was once again, planning on skipping but everyone was being too goddamn loud and suddenly my older brother barged into the room.

"Dude!" Lip chucked something up at me, "You gotta get up at some point!" he told me. I stared up at the ceiling, "I'm losing my mind," I whined, "I can't stop thinking about the wedding."

The wedding that was...tomorrow.

"Last time I'm gonna say it," Lip sighed, "Do yourself a favour and stay as far away from that car wreck as humanly possible, okay?" he stood beside the bunk bed and reached up to pat my arm, "It's not worth it."

I stuck my bottom lip out in a pout and huffed to myself. I heard footsteps walk into the bedroom and lifted my head to see Mandy standing in a towel, "Can you help me set up this afternoon at the VFW?" she asked Lip.

"No, you know what?" Lip shook his head, "I promised I'd go to Sheila's," he explained, "Karen's getting home, gotta help set up," he added.

"I'll help," I offered, pushing up on my elbows. "You sure?" Mandy checked and I nodded, sitting up and jumping off the top bunk before grabbing clothes out of my drawers.

"Hey, aren't you sick?" Lip called as I walked out of the room and into the bathroom.

Ian tagged along to help set up Mickey's wedding venue which was a small hall decorated with purple banners and white love hearts.

As soon as we walked in, my eyes landed on a sign that read, 'Mickey + Svetlana 4 Ever!' I took a breath and found Mandy setting out chairs.

She looked up and spotted us, "You made it!" she smiled and I walked with my brother towards her. "Chairs are over here and watch out for splinters," She explained, gesturing to the stack of chairs that still needed set out.

Ian and I nodded and shrugged our jackets off before going to grab chairs. "You know, Lip is still up Karen's ass," Mandy stated as I picked up a wooden chair, "It's getting old," she scoffed. "Yeah," Ian sighed in agreement.

I placed the chair next to one that Mandy had just set and looked at her, "So, Svetlana, is she like uh...?" I began to ask but ended up shrugging. "She's quiet and skinny," Mandy told me, "Which is weird because he usually bags fat chicks," Mandy explained.

I frowned slightly and looked down at myself, I felt an elbow nudge mine and looked up at Ian shaking his head. I went to grab another chair when Mandy huffed, "I do his laundry, I apply to colleges for him and what the hell does Karen do?"
