Mickey was already dressed and pulling out a cigarette while I was pulling my shorts up my pale legs. "Man that was good," Mickey sighed, "Missed ya."

I walked over to where he was sitting, "You did?" I wondered, frowning as I took a seat beside him. He nodded, "Fuck yeah." A smirk tugged at my lips, "What? No pussy in juvie?" I asked earning an elbow to the ribs.

I chuckled as I took the cigarette from him and took a drag, "Anyway," I exhaled, "I thought you had four more months or something." Mickey shrugged, "Let me out for overcrowding or some shit," he explained.

"You going back to school?" I asked him, Mickey chuckled and I glanced at him. He met my eyes and stopped, "You serious?" he shook his head, "Hell no, I'd still be a fucking freshman, I haven't passed a single class," he told me and I passed the cigarette back.

"Why'd you come back then?" I furrowed my brows at him. "Fronted a bunch of coke before I went in," he told me before clicking his tongue, "Time to collect." I looked at the ground.

Ian walked into the bathroom after we finished drilling the lock onto our bedroom door and I flopped down and took a seat on his bed.

After a few minutes, Mandy appeared in the hallway, having come up the stairs. With the door open, she spotted me and I greeted her with a small smile. She returned it and leant against the doorframe.

"What's this for?" She asked, gesturing to the lock. I sat up, "Keeping Frank out," I chuckled, "I just got top bunk and I am not losing it." Mandy smirked, "Hmm, think about all the time's Lip and Karen got freaky up there!" she teased.

"That's why I bleached both the sheets and the mattress," I giggled as she stepped further into the room. I narrowed my eyes when I noticed the college books under her arm, "Since when have you wanted to go to college?" I asked.

I raised my eyebrows, reading the title, "What's that, Carnegie Mellon?" Mandy scoffed and sat next to me, "Please, it's for nerds and homos," she swatted my arm with her books and we laughed.

"But Healey thinks Lip should apply," Mandy shrugged making me snort. "Fat chance," I shook my head as she looked at me. "He's smart enough," she stated.

I chuckled, "But too stupid to do anything about it," I tilted my head at her, "Trust me, we've tried." Mandy let out a sigh and rested her head on my shoulder and my mind drifted off to earlier with Mickey.

"Hey, how do you know if a guy you've been hanging around with likes you?" I wondered, fiddling with my fingers. "You like him?" Mandy wondered in a sing-song voice.

"Uh-huh," I nodded, "But I'm not sure if he hates me or not," I sighed. Mandy moved off my shoulder to look at me, "Ask him," she nudged my arm. I shrugged, "Doesn't wanna talk about it."
