Me and my two older brothers burst through the doors, out of the Lakeside Institute of Technology. Lip had a metal case under his arm which held the things we'd just stolen.

The three of us sprinted down the street, brushing past people who were minding their own business. "When you said you had access," Ian yelled to Lip, "I thought you meant through a door!"

"May have fudged on that a bit!" Lip shouted back in reply. I scoffed, turning sideways to push through a group of civilians. "How the fuck did you drag me into this!" I yelled back to them as I was a few strides ahead.

"Hey!" A distant voice called, I whipped my head back to find a couple of cops chasing after us. I snapped my head forward, orange covering my view when my hair blew in my face, "Come on!" I shouted, rounding a corner.

We began to run down steps, yelling at people to move as the cops neared us. "Kid, stop!" One of them called. I jumped onto the railing and slid down for the remaining amount of steps.

We next headed across a road, "Jesus, whatever happened to fat, doughnut-eating cops?" Lip scoffed, "Now they're all triathletes!" We reached a wire fence so Ian and I began to climb it.

When we jumped down to the other side, Lip warned, "Catch!" he tossed the case over the fence. I caught it and waited for him to climb over. I passed it back to him when his feet hit the ground.

"Tall prick looks good for another ten miles!" Ian stated as we began to run down the alley we were now in. Not moments later, we heard the cops behind us, "Keep up! Come on!" I told my brothers.

"Not all of us are on the track team!" Ian barked back making me roll my eyes. "Ditch it out at the street, yeah?" Lip suggested.

Before I could reply, Ian pointed to the side, "Wait, wait, maybe they'll give up." We saw that he was pointing at a folded ladder connected to an apartment. We approached the truck under it and Ian hopped in, "What are you doing?"

Ian jumped up to grab the ladder but it didn't budge, I looked over my shoulder to find the cops coming closer, "Shit," I muttered, pushing Lip's shoulder so he ran the door to the apartments. Ian let go of the ladder and followed us.

I didn't count how many flights of stairs we sprinted up and before I knew it, we were pushing through the door to the roof. We didn't stop, heading to the side so we could jump roofs. The cops were still chasing us.

When we reached the side of the roof we stopped dead, "Woahh!" There was a slight drop from this roof to the other.

"No way, you guys are getting into the army with a felony conviction," Lip stated, we knew what he was gonna do. Ian and I hopped up on the edge of the roof, "See you at the courthouse later," I told him before my twin and I leapt off the side.
