I woke up this morning with the most sly cheeky, mischievous smile ever.flashbacks from last nights meet up with elias really boosted my confidence, to a level where i am no longer afraid to manipulate him or try and piss off torrance. I felt victorious.

"What are you smiling at?"

Jai asked as he shuffled his fingers through his light brown glossy , curly hair, "nothing, "

"Random"

He looked at me laughed and checked his phone.

when he looked at his lock screen which was a photo of both of us last years spring break, at kid rocks concert, we looked so happy back then!

He opened his eyes,widely. Shit mikki look what time it is!"

Remicicng the moments of kid rocks concert, i was quickly smashed back into reality . My eyes flickered up at the black glass clock that i bought in roman numerals, just to make life harder. It read, 3:30 in roman numerlas which mean i only had 2 hours to get dressed, do my hair, pick my lipgloss and put on my makeup.

"Im going to hurry home get ready, and ill call you in about 2? Jai exclaimed as he started to lace up his converse so clumsily he pulled out the entire lace instead of tying it up.

"Okay, ill be waiting for that phone call, did you end up finding a date?" I asked jai

"Ahem ahem, chaperone" is what jai said to me as he rethought his shoelace method.

"Ahh yeah, "chaperone" i said motioning the 2 quotation marks that would have been there if i didn't have to do it myself.

When jai had finally tied up his shoelace successfully, he got up fixed his hair, and his shirt, looked at his phone and walked out my bedroom door, when he had got the door, she stopped walking looked back and we both gazed at eachother , as i was lost in the sight on his hazel green eyes, he mouthed " If only you knew"

Turned back around and walked down the stairs.

I didnt pay much attention to what that might have meant so i went about my business, opened my closet drawer, took out my teal dress, stood back laid it on my body, stood in front of the mirror and swayed around .

I felt girly. So girly.

After 3 hours fixing my hair, putting on all my accessories,makeup, the dress,shoes and nail polish. My outfit was complete. This is it, tonight is the night.

I don't know whether to be happy or devastated.

My phone flashed and my ringtone went off as i looked out the window to check for elias"s chevi pull up near my driveway and noticed the call was coming from jai so i picked it up with up most excitement.

"Hey jaii!" I exclaimed

"Hey Mikki, ready for tonight?"

"Yep, ready" wbu?

I asked jai so excitedly

"Yeah im ready, but theres still one thing i have to do,

I was confused, "what else is their to do?"

I asked jai out of curiosity

Jais voice began to crack a bit, like something was choking him up an he needed to speak up,

"I need to tell you something mikayla"

"What is it jai?" I was worried.

"I know this is last minute, but i think...

I heard Elias's horn beep out of his red chevi i ran up to the windowsill to see elias holding a bouquet of white roses, i waved at him and turned back to my phone call.

"What was that?' Jai asked

"Its elias, got to go ill see you there?"

"Umm yeah sure, have a safe ride"

Jai's voice seemed different,

"Okay, bye jai, love you"

" save me a dance yeah"

"Hahah sure will!"

"Love you"

, bye" the phone shut.

That was weird,

I thought for a minute , why jai would seem so upset, nothing had happened the night before, was it my question he wouldnt answer last night? Was it the fact i dont know

I was contemplating whether to be upset or happy, i totally forgot that elias was impatiently waiting for me in his luxurious car, until i heard him beep his horn the fourth time in a row, i got up , took one last glance of what could be , "elias's new misses, and walked out the front door.
