TWISTED.
❝ i'm not a jedi, but I'm not a sith. i'm me, and that's what matters.❞
Despina Anseris never asked for her mission. She never asked to see the place she called home get torn apart because of her best friend's rath. She never asked to see...

The forest was deathly quiet as I searched for Kylo Ren, taking care of where I set my feet to avoid creating any noise. My lightsaber was clutched tightly in my hand, ready to activate at any moment. I didn't realize I was holding my breath until BD-1 gave a low chirp, startling me.
"Sense anything, bud?" I whispered, and the droid twittered back to me in unease. "Same here." The sound of firing guns came to my ears, and I quickly ducked behind two trees. My heart was pounding as I couldn't see the source of the commotion, and the shots stopped a few seconds later. Kylo Ren's Force aura was stronger than ever. He was close.
"I know you're here." I pushed my back against the largest tree, my eyes wide. "I can sense you... you're hiding from me." I heard him grunt as he laid something down and his lightsaber activated. BD-1's legs shook as he clenched on to my shoulder tightly, and I winced as pressure entered my head. "I see... oh, Despina. You would rather put your faith in fools who think they can win the war than those who will, and attachment to someone you had just met? I'm disappointed in you."
"Don't," I warned him, adjusting my hands on my lightsaber hilt as I fought to block him out of my head, but it didn't matter. He knew enough to keep talking.
"He was weak," Ren spat, his voice growing louder as he searched for me. I shook my head, squeezing my eyes shut."He could barely hold vital information without writhing like a worm. I took great pride in shooting him and that traitorous clone down."
"No!" I screamed, and I emerged from my hiding spot. Ren was waiting there for me, and our lightsabers clashed in a mix of sputtering red and calm purple. His mask was spotless, hiding his expression while my eyes were narrowed and my teeth were bared.
"There's the anger," he tutted, and I snarled. I turned my weapon to aim for his legs, but he blocked it easily. "Give in to it, Despina. Feel the power it gives you."
"Never!" I snarled, and I took a hand off of my lightsaber hilt and lifted up like a claw, using the Force to push him away from me. My fighting techniques grew more erratic, much like Ren's when we were back on the cruiser. By mistake, I allowed my eyes to drift to the unconscious Rey by his feet, and the young Sith used it to his advantage. He swiped his leg and mine, and I fell backward. BD-1 took this chance to propel himself at Ren, tasers out, who merely used the Force to throw him off course.
My head was pounding from hitting the ground not once but twice in the past hour, and my hand extended for my weapon. My fingers were too far as it zoomed past me... right into Ren's free hand. I attempted to push myself up and continue the fight, but his sputtering plasma blade was inches from my neck. Ren chuckled, examining the weapon he stole while keeping me at bay.
