Virgil yawned as he walked out of the caravan, stretching his arms. Logan told the others, "We need to move faster, so eat breakfast inside. Virgil and I will eat out here."

"Okay," Patton agreed.

"I can't believe you let Roman keep the wolpertinger," Janus groaned.

Roman stuck his tongue out at him from the bed, Thumper laying on his chest. Roman scratched between Thumper's ears and said, "You're just jealous."

"No, Thumper is a wild animal."

"How dare you say that. Thumper is an intelligent creature."

"Unlike you?"

Roman made offended princey noises and continued his argument with Janus.

Virgil rolled his eyes and started making his way towards the divers box, but something in the corner of his eyes stopped.

Logan was walking out with two cups of rice and noticed Virgil pulling out his sword. "What is it?" Logan asked, looking towards the sky where Virgil was staring at. He quickly reached into the caravan, setting the cups of rice down and pulling his sword out. This grabbed the others attention.

"Stay inside," Logan commanded as he shut the door close.

Patton went up into the window and Janus and Roman followed. They gasped when they saw a red dragon land in front of Logan and Virgil, both had their swords out and were ready.

Roman grabbed his sword and moved for the door, but Patton grabbed his arm.

"What are you doing? That's a dragon!" Patton told him.

"Exactly! They're in danger!" Roman argued.

"They told us to stay inside, they're both professionals."

"They could still get hurt! I want to help them fight!"

"It's my responsibility to protect you! I don't like it either but I can't risk you getting hurt!"

Roman was going to argue but was interrupted by the dragon roaring. Roman looked back outside.

"They're hesitating," Janus said, "Why are they hesitating?!"

The dragon made the first move, spitting fire at Logan. Logan jumped out of the way and held his arm up to protect his face.

Virgil sprinted forward, and the dragon lunged at him.

"I'm sorry," Virgil whispered, and dodged the dragon, pulling his arm back and then pushing it forward at the dragon's neck.

But the blade never made contact with the dragon's scales. Virgil gasped when he felt something coil around his torso. The dragon's slim tail wrapped around him and the dragon pushed off of the ground, making Virgil drop his sword.

The force of the dragon's wings caused a great gust of wind that kept Logan from running forward. He watched horrified as Virgil was taken away by the dragon.

"Virgil!" Logan cried out.

Roman pulled out of Patton's grip and rushed out, he quickly glanced at the dragon to see which direction it was taking Virgil, then ran over to Destiny. He cut him loose and hopped onto him.

"Come on!" Roman called over to Logan.

Logan ran over to Rain and cut her loose, climbing onto her with ease and following Roman.

Patton tried to run after them but Janus grabbed his arm. "They're too fast to catch up to!" Janus told him, "You'll just get lost."

"I have to protect them!" Patton insisted.
