"How are you feeling?" Logan asked Virgil.
"I'm still a little sore, but I'm fine," Virgil answered.
"We're going to find you an actual doctor later," Roman told him, scratching behind Thumper's ears.
"That would be ideal," Logan agreed.
"Uh, are you sure? I mean, I-I don't know, don't people still hate witches?" Virgil asked, nervous.
"I'll be with you the whole time to make sure no one hurts you," Roman promised, "And I won't anyone who hates witches, or any other magical creatures, near you."
"I'll also be with you," Logan added, "and you know I won't let anyone harm you."
"Okay, but do we have to meet the king?" Virgil asked, wringing his hands together.
"You can't avoid it, so it's better to get it done now then postpone it."
"My dad won't hate you, he's really chill," Roman told him.
"I don't know, I guess I'm just nervous meeting new people. Especially people with a lot of power like a king."
"It's normal for you to feel nervous about meeting the king, but you seemed fine with us."
"I was faking it, princey. I was really nervous, I mean you guys were the first people I officially met in years. Plus you're a prince."
"It's understandable," Logan told him, "You've had some... bad experiences with humans."
"Yeah, and I still have those experiences forever scarred on me."
"Virgil," Roman started, taking Virgil's hand in his own, "I would never let anything bad happen to you. And besides, my dad is really kind. You should have seen him when he heard Remus found his soulmate, he was ecstatic. He'll instantly consider you family."
"I've heard that the king is really kind," Logan added.
"Hell yeah!" they heard Remus from outside, "We're home!"
"Are you ready to meet my dad?" Roman asked Virgil.
"I guess I don't have a choice, do I?" Virgil laughed nervously.
"It'll be okay," Logan told him, "Just follow my lead."
"Oh boy, here goes nothing."
Instantly maids and guards came to welcome them home and make sure they were okay, though they were intimidated by the dragon. Patton told them that the dragon posed no threat and they sort of relaxed.
He brought them to the throne room where Thomas was waiting for them. Thomas had already heard that they came home and was nervously and impatiently waiting, tapping his foot until Remus burst through the door.
"Remus!" Thomas smiled, standing up from the throne.
"Dad! I got kidnapped!" Remus yelled, running up to him and hugging him. "It was very interesting I guess, but mostly boring."
Thomas chuckled, "Only you would feel that way. Welcome home, I was really worried."
"I missed you," Remus mumbled so only Thomas could hear.
"I knew I could trust Roman, Janus and Patton to save you." Thomas looked up to them. "Oh, and it looks like they had help."
Logan bowed and Virgil followed.
"Your Majesty," Logan stated, "I am Logan Croft, and this is my son, Virgil Croft."
"It was only because of them that we were able to save Remus," Patton told him.
"Please rise," Thomas told them, and they did. Thomas walked towards them and shook their hands, "Thank you for saving my son, Remus. If there's anything I could do to repay you please tell me."
"Daddaddad!" Roman started excitedly, "Virgil is my soulmate! Oh, Patton, tell him about Logan!"
Patton smiled widely and said, "Logan is my soulmate."
Thomas gasped and smiled wide. "You two found your soulmates! I'm so happy for all of you! That has got to be quite the adventure, I want to hear all about it."
"Oh, first you should know we brought a dragon back. She's really friendly and only wants to protect Virgil, we left her outside of the castle with a wolpertinger that has taken a liking to Roman a fairy family whose little fairy girl has taken a liking to me."
"That... is definitely a story. Okay, you can bring them in and you guys can rest up a little, then I want you to tell me everything. Oh, and Mr. Croft, would you and your son like to stay for dinner?"
"Would you like to stay forever?" Roman asked.
"Roman, let them adjust," Patton told him.
"It was a Disney book reference."
"That would be delightful, your Majesty," Logan answered Thomas.
"Great! Patton, can you take them to the spare rooms?"
"Of course, and I'll bring Kayda, the dragon, to your room. Ah, I should also bring Thumper to Roman's room and the fairy family to mine."
"I'm sure the fairies will feel right at home since you have so many plants in there," Janus commented.
Patton gasped, "I could rearrange the plants a little closer to each other in a corner of my room for them to make a new home! Wait, the garden would be a better place for them. Oh, and of course I'll take them back to the forest for visits for their friends and family they left behind."
"I can help with that!" Roman offered.
Thomas smiled and told them, "Well, once again, welcome home."
