"Well, this is it," Logan sighed, looking at their old house, "How are you feeling, Virgil?"
They were standing in front of their house, all of their belongings were packed up and in a carriage, ready to be taken to the castle. It's been a month since the Black incident and everyone's lives have changed for the better.
"Nervous, and sad. Do we really have to sell our house and the farm?"
"Well, someone will have to take care of the farm, and we don't need the house anymore."
"I know it's just... I'm going to miss this place. I have a lot of good memories from here."
Logan put his hand on Virgil's shoulder. "I know, but we have a better life ahead of us."
"A life in a castle, surrounded by people."
"A life with our soulmates."
That brought a smile to Virgil's face. "Yeah, a life with people who love us."
"Let's not keep them waiting, I'm sure Roman is excited for you to move in with them."
Virgil glanced one last time at his home before heading into the carriage. Logan followed him and the coachman took them into the kingdom.
On the way to the castle, Logan helped Virgil with his anxiety. While the carriage pulled up to the front of the castle though, Virgil played with his sleeves and looked out the window.
The carriage came to a full stop and Logan stepped out first, holding a hand out to Virgil to help him out.
"Virgil!" Immediately he was engulfed by white, startling him.
"Roman," Thomas scolded, "remember your manners."
Thomas, Roman, Remus, and Patton were there to greet him, along with three maids and a few guards in the back.
Virgil chuckled and returned the hug, telling Thomas, "It's okay."
"Sorry, I'm just so happy to see him again!"
"It hasn't been that long, dumbass," Remus snarked.
"Remus!" it was Patton's turn to scold, "Watch your language."
"What? I'm right!"
Patton clicked his tongue in annoyance.
A maid stepped up, "We can take your luggage to your room." She had her brown hair pinned back with gray streaks, crow eyes were next to her soft brown eyes.
"Oh no, it's okay, we can take care of it," Virgil told them.
"No please, we're paid to do things like this," the maid smiled.
"Oh, o-okay then."
"Just another thing we'll have to get used to," Logan chuckled.
"I don't think I'll get used to that," Virgil rubbed the back of his head.
Patton smiled at them, "I'll show you around, come on." He took Logan's hand and pulled him towards the castle, with the others following.
"I have some work to attend to," Thomas told them, "But I'm sure Patton can handle you guys."
"Thank you, your majesty," Logan said.
"Oh please, you're family. You can call me Thomas."
Logan was a bit shocked, but corrected himself, "Thank you, Thomas."
Thomas smiled at him and left to tend to his duties.
"I'm gonna go find Janus," Remus said, "I know he's hiding somewhere around here. See ya later, dorks!"
