Oh Look! Friends!

A few days after Virgil and Logan saved Remus, Patton wanted to help the fairies and Thumper get used to the castle.

"Usually, you can find me with one of the princes if you ever need me," Patton told them. "Unless they're in one of their classes, then I'll be in the library. Oh, or maybe with Logan!"

The young fairy girl that Patton named Daisy flew in front of him. She held her hands at her chest as if adjusting an imaginary tie.

"Yup, Logan's the one with the tie!"

Daisy smiled and flew back to flying next to him with the rest of her family. The rest of her family was a young fairy boy that Patton named Liam and two fairy parents, the mother is named Amelia and the father is named Lucas.

"Hello Patton," a maid greeted as she walked past him, holding a basket of clothing.

"Hey Mable!" Patton waved. Daisy flew behind him and held onto his cardigan along with the other fairies.

Thumper looked up at them in confusion since the maids treated him kindly, but he knew fairies are usually skittish.

"It's okay guys," Patton told them, turning around to them and holding his hands out gently. "The others are really nice here! I'm sure they would love you!"

Amelia bit her lip and Liam held onto her side. Daisy rubbed her arm and Lucas rubbed the back of his head.

Patton pouted as he thought about what he could do for them so they wouldn't be afraid of everyone.

"What if... you met some of the maids? I'll be in the room with you! I promise they are kind!"

Daisy frowned as she thought for a moment, then she nodded.

Patton smiled, "Okay, what about the rest of you?"

After a little bit of hesitation, the rest nodded.

"Yay! We'll have to do it at the end of the day though, they're always busy. I'll introduce you to them a little at a time so you're not overwhelmed."

Amelia patted Patton's nose, which is her way of hugging him.

"You'll love them, they're all amazing!"

Patton found three maids in the kitchen at the end of the day and brought the fairies with him to them.

The maids' names were Sophia, Isabell, and Olivia. Sophia had dark hair and tan skin, Isabell had brown hair and light skin, and Olivia had dirty blond hair and freckles.

He introduced the fairies to them and the three women got excited. Sophia grabbed a cookie and held it out to them. Daisy's eyes lit up and she took the cookie, nibbling on it.

Isabell held her hand out towards them, and with some hesitation Liam put his hand on the pad of her middle finger. Isabell let out a small squeal and held her other hand to her cheek.

"Why hello little cuties," Olivia cooed. Amelia and Lucas looked up at her curiously.

Patton smiled widely as the maids chatted with the fairies and they all got along. The maids made a small meal for the fairies and continued to squeal about them.

Over the next couple of weeks, he introduced the other maids in the same way to the fairies. Three at most, and he advised the maids to have a small snack to give to the fairies since it's a sure-fire way of gaining their trust.

The fairies soon felt like they were at home at the castle, they lived in the garden but were allowed to wander the castle grounds. Patton occasionally took them back to the forest with Logan so they could visit the other fairies.
