Sorry about not posting for awhile! I really have no excuse

Virgil's plan really wasn't the best, but he didn't have time to come up with a better one. Of course, his plan would be a lot easier if Black would just let up a little.

Virgil's arms were starting to get tired, he slipped up a few times but was able to dodge, only getting cut on his arm and cheek.

Their blades hit each other, they were stuck in a bind. Virgil raised the hilt of his own sword and stepped to the side.

Before Black could recover, Virgil was able to trap his blade between his own arm and body. He then used the flat part of his blade to press down on Black's sword arm, making him let go of his sword.

Virgil reached to catch the hilt of Black's sword. Black grabbed his arm instead. He kicked Virgil in the stomach, still holding onto his arm. Virgil too dropped his sword.

Virgil coughed as he tried to breathe, unable to properly due to the smoke. He fought through the pain. He tried to punch Black, but he easily dodged it.

Virgil grimaced in pain and Black was able to grab his other arm. Virgil took this as an opportunity and lifted both of his legs. He quickly kicked Black, launching them both back.

He was able to move fast enough to break the window behind him, punching it with his left hand. For his plan to work he had to be outside and falling out of a window was the only way.

Black watched as Virgil fell out of the window and quickly got up, grabbing his sword as he went to the window.

Virgil twisted himself in the air so he was facing up. This is gonna hurt. He raised his hand towards the sky. It felt like time was slowing down. He built up the magical energy to his hand and created a flame.

The flame quickly grew into a pillar of purple fire that could be seen for miles.

And it was seen from miles away.

It was seen by Kayda. She was still at the edge of the forest, watching just in case. Virgil sent the signal. He was in danger.

She wasn't the only one that saw it. The others had just gotten outside when they saw it. Logan froze, he didn't want to know what was happening to Virgil.

"Virgil!" Roman shouted, running to behind the mansion. Everyone quickly followed.

Virgil's vision was fuzzy, but that's what happens when you jump out of a window and propel yourself to the ground and land flat on your back. He tried to move, but everything hurt and using so much magic drained his energy.

Black jumped out of the window after him and used his magic to slow his fall so he wouldn't get hurt.

"That was an idiotic move," Black told him, taking his time to walk towards Virgil.

Virgil sucked in his breath through his teeth and propped himself up with his elbows, wincing in pain. He glared at Black, but his head was spinning too much to say anything.

Black reached him and pointed the tip of his sword towards Virgil's neck. Virgil stayed still so Black wouldn't kill him.

"It's so nice of you to come home. You've caused me a lot of trouble, but that's fine." Black grabbed the front of Virgil's shirt and lifted him off of the ground. "You've returned to me now. Let's put you back in your cell, V-"

"Virgil!" Logan called.

Black turned to them, surprised that Logan was still alive. Then he smiled at Logan. He raised his hand and shot fire at the grass between them, creating a fire wall.
