"I would tell you to surrender, but even if you did I would still kill you," Black declared.
Logan drew his sword, "I doubt you could."
Black's eyes traveled through the small group in front of him. "You seem confident." His eyes landed on Virgil and he smiled. "Do you have a trick up your sleeve?"
Virgil glared at Black with pure hatred. Black smiled.
"Doesn't matter," Black continued, "You won't be strong enough to defeat us."
With a wave of his arm, his army advanced on them. Roman steadied his feet and prepared to fight. He glanced at everyone else as they did the same, their swords drawn out.
Logan easily disarmed the first man to reach him. He punched him in the jaw and knocked him out. He hit the next in the gut with his elbow.
Virgil blocked then countered. Between each man he brought down, he would glance at Black. Black was standing back, watching them. What was he waiting for?
Roman and Janus were back to back. They were having more trouble fighting the men off but they managed. Roman glanced at Virgil who punched one guy in the face and the disarmed another in less than 5 seconds.
"Hey pretty boy! Pay attention!" Janus told him, blocking an attack.
"Right!" Roman responded, not having enough time to come up with another remark as he had to block another attack.
Roman pushed the guy's sword away and quickly lunged forward to punch the guy in the throat. He dropped his sword and his hands flew to his neck, giving Roman time and an opening to kick him back, causing him to fall back into someone else.
Patton stayed close to Roman and Janus and soon he lost sight of Virgil and Logan. They were surrounded and completely covered. He had to remind himself that he was there to protect Roman, it was his job. But he wanted to protect everyone.
He kicked one man in the knee and elbowed another that got too close in the chin. He constantly looked back to see Roman and make sure he was safe.
Logan noticed that his muscles were getting tired, he was getting rusty. But there were less men now, most were knocked out or too injured to stand. He tried to look for Virgil, but couldn't see anyone. Except Black.
Black was walking towards him and his men were falling back to give him space. Logan held his sword ready and faced him. Black was smiling.
Virgil got a cut on his leg as he kicked someone away. He was already starting to get tired. Not good. He was covered. He looked for anyone, hoping for some back up. Then he saw it. Black and Logan were fighting each other.
He ducked when someone swung their sword at him and blocked another's attack. He needed to get to Black, he had to help his dad!
Virgil lunged forward, elbowing someone in the chest and punching another on the nose. He tried to run towards Logan and Black but more men got in front of him.
Logan blocked Black's sword. Black raised his hand and Logan's eyes widened. He jumped out of the way as black flames appeared in the area Logan was just standing at.
"Still stealing magic, Black?" Logan asked.
"It should belong to humans!" Black told him, "Only humans deserve magic!"
"You're not human." Logan pounced forward and tried to attack Black. Black blocked and jumped back before countering. They went back and forth, attacking each other. They managed to get small blows on each other, nothing too serious.
