Chloe

Chloe smiled as she closed the door behind her. She's back in her apartment, no longer dull and miserable like before -- she was simply strained from work even though she enjoyed intimidating others. Right now, instead of hating Phil down to the bone, a part of her was starting to forgive him. Glancing at the shelf filled with alcohol, she was hesitant to do her usual Friday evening routine - to drink 'til she's wasted so she'll forget whatever bad memory is instilled in her head.

Every time she goes back into the apartment, she felt empty.
But...
At this moment, she couldn't think of any bad thoughts except for Jesse's condition. He was apparently okay based on the photos he was posting on Facebook. She was actually glad of how this week went. Phil was able to get things done properly in New Jersey, he even closed three deals on her behalf. She got to make things better in the company despite Jesse's absence. Lastly, she earned the most satisfying sex since she lost her virginity.

"I'm in cloud nine," she sighed with a gleam, crashing on the couch. Picturing Phil's perfect face, she gushed like a naive college student who just saw a magnificent guy. The way his blue eyes looked intensely on hers, his warm skin against hers, and the feel of his hard abs against her hands. Damn, she cursed as if her reverie was happening right now.

Beep.

She reached for her bag, digging inside to search for her phone then checked who texted her.

It was Phil. "Dinner?"

"Personal time. DO NOT DISTURB." She replied, blushing.

"I mean, you should eat your dinner. Left something in the fridge just put it in the microwave." He replied.

"What? You went in my apartment again?"

"No, the food made its way to your refridgerator by itself. Seriously Chloe."

The petty jokes and sarcasm, it's what he was doing to her back when they were still in college. She wanted to squeal like a little girl but she should stay strong-willed because she is his boss. She replied, "Nevermind, I don't like those sardonic remarks."

"Yes ma'am. :) Can't wait 'til tomorrow. I miss you. Don't drink."

That was quick. She was worried that this might get into something deeper. However, she just hoped for the best and will try to ignore that message. I miss you too and I will try not to drink, she thought.

She decided to call Jesse instead, "Hey..."

"How are you?" Jesse asked with a grin on his face.

"I'm great," she said, wanting to rant about the Phil situation. It's been a while she told him about the romantic slice of her life.

"Of course you are, you're with Phil Connor!" Jesse exclaimed and that gave her a heart attack. She gaped before she could respond. Does he know? "He is one fo the best negotiators I know, and I am aware that he's doing very good in the company. Glad everything is better."

She breathed with relief, placing a hand on her chest. "Oh, yes. He's better than I thought."

"How can you say so?"

"Very attentive, he knows his way with people, he's responsible," she said then bit her lip wanting the following words like hot, amazing, sexually talented, and other words that best describe Phil.
