April 2015.

"Dear Chloe,

I hope wherever you are, you are safe. I still couldn't believe this but maybe you needed some time away. Teddy and Harold told me that you wanted to leave.

Celestia is doing great. You should know that she has your eyes. She's the most beautiful thing we've had together. She misses you already. There are nights I couldn't make her stop crying, I had to call my mother for help.

I wish you could see Celestia's smile and hear her giggle when I make funny faces to her. She also enjoys watching the video during the baby shower. You could just see her eyes glimmer at the sight of you. Truly, she is heaven's gift to us.

When will you come back? I won't be mad, it's okay. I will still welcome you like before because I love you. I still want to be there for you. I want to be your husband who'd take care of you when you're sick, comfort you when you're down, and make more memories with you and our baby.

Love,
Phil"

Phil broke into tears after he wrote the letter while he's drunk. He stared at the ring on his palm, Chloe's engagement ring. "Why did you leave? Wasn't I enough?" All he could think of is Chloe — her eyes, her smile, and the times she would tell him that she loves him.

He felt incomplete and empty in his own home he built with the woman he loved the most.

He missed how her soft fingers were intertwined with his whenever they cuddle on the couch. The way she meticulously kept their home clean never drove him mad or crazy.

He missed driving around with her in the middle of the night, talking about their dreams for their baby. All he ever wanted was for their little girl to be just like Chloe - strong-willed, smart, wise, and funny.

Harold advised him not to try to make contact with Chloe as it will only give Jesse the chance to hurt child.

Phil left for New York two weeks later because he couldn't accept the fact that she left him without any explanation. He despised the air, the noise, and the city that took her from him.

She just needed some time off, she freaked out, I'll convince her so she would come back home to me, Phil thought.

He asked Teddy, Chloe's best friend, where Chloe could be so the search would be easier. "Has she started working again? Is she still living in the same apartment?"

Teddy felt sorry for Phil because she saw the desperation in his eyes. "Phil, you shouldn't be here," her tone seemed like there's only a small chance Chloe would change her mind. It seemed like she knew all along that Chloe intended to leave.

"Teddy, she just missed New York, right? It's very unlikely she would just leave like that," Phil was still hopeful. "I want to talk to her, please."

Teddy sighed, "I'm sorry." Bowing her head, she strode away from Phil. Her heart ached for the young couple who were never meant to be together.

Phil waited outside of Pike Industries for hours, hoping to see Chloe again. He did catch a glimpse of her. He was about to take another step near the building but someone held his arm to prevent him from doing so.
