Chloe

"You can seriously date someone, just make sure that you can manage it." Jesse said through the phone. "It's good to have someone after work, Chloe. It's not healthy for you to be alone most of the time."

"He's really nice and a few years older," Chloe described.

"Good, at least he's mature enough to understand a monstrosity like you," Jesse laughed.

Teddy told her that Mikey was perfect. Chloe is meant to be with him because they're compatible on so many levels. Mikey adores classical music. He is also fond of art. Pablo Neruda fascinates him too. They have so many things to talk about, and he was certainly the perfect partner to have breakfast with.

It was time for Chloe to fully embrace changes. Phil was working for her, and nothing should go beyond that. On the other hand, it felt nice to have someone care for her not just because Jesse told him to do so. She was decided to give Mikey a chance because he's absolutely not a narcissistic asshole. If she's going to start a relationship, it would be better to start with a blank slate.

What she liked the most about Mikey was his patience and understanding because she is extremely busy. Other guys would be turned off by an intimidating woman like her. And he's the one making the first move -- although her kiss with him last night really surprised her, she did not expect that. Yet it's the second best for her, not bad.

Mikey laced his fingers around hers as they walked along the lobby. "I'm going to miss you," he frowned, glancing down at her.

Chloe gave him a soft smile, "Why? We're going to meet again tomorrow."

"I hoped to spend time with you today, however, you're caught up by business. Which is fine, I just wish that you won't strain yourself and --" he stopped --and they stood there-- sighing then brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

Chloe was waiting for him to continue, "And?"

"Phil won't flirt with you. I don't like that Phil guy hanging around," he finished then added, "I don't mean to say that. I know that we're just dating casually, but I gotta be honest--"

Chloe placed a finger on his lips, giggling, "Are you jealous?" He looked cute when he's jealous. His pacific blue eyes gazed away from her in embarrassment.

He held her hands. "Yes," he was exasperated when he answered.

She grinned, nodding. "Okay."

"Is that a good thing, love?"

"I don't know, is it?"

"Chloe, I don't do short-term relationships. If I want someone, I will do whatever I can to keep her," he told her sincerely. "But I'm not controlling, I swear."

"Sweetie, it's been three days since we you know, dated -- engage into an actual date, but it's good to know that," she embraced him, and felt safer the moment he draped his strong around her. Yeah, it feels good to have someone, she thought.

"I have fallen in love with you the first time I saw you," he spoke then broke their embrace. He pecked her lips, smiling, "Get back to work, love. I must see you tomorrow morning."

She nodded, finally feeling something in her as she bid goodbye to him. "Take care, Mikey."

"I will, I don't want to distract you so, good luck," he caressed her face then walked away, stealing one last glance as Chloe shyly waved to him. She'd like to have him for the whole day, however, she needed to get back to work. She checked on Phil before making her first appointment with another company. The other employees scrambled back to their cubicles as she entered while Phil stood up to acknowledge her presence.
