"It's alright, it's just a baby," Chloe told herself as she took a deep breath. "Just a baby... Phil's baby."

She was shook when someone knocked on her cubicle. "What is it? Did one of your eggs catch Phil's sperm?" Teddy asked loudly enough to embarrass her even though it's just the two of them.

"Theodora!" She berated. She cleaned herself first then went out of the cubicle as soon as she is able. Teddy was grinning at her, failing to hide her excitement. "What the fuck, Teddy?"

Chloe placed the two kits on the sink as she washed her hands, consumed by her own thoughts on how to break the news to Phil and Jesse. Phil will obviously be happy and her pregnancy will be another reason for them to get married as soon as possible. Despite being together for a few months, she's definitely sure of having Phil as her husband no matter what.

Teddy, being the nosy lady she is, checked the kits and then squealed. "Holy shit, you are pregnant!" She then saw Chloe's sadness. "Aren't you happy? Did Phil do something to you?"

Chloe held Teddy's forearm and told her, "I don't know what to do, Teddy. Jesse is going to kill me. He's not gonna live for long." She broke down at the thought of Jesse dying.

Teddy embraced her, "Aww, honey. I'm sure Jesse will understand. That baby is the company's future. That baby will be your source of strength when everything turns into shit. Promise me you'll keep it, alright?"

"When did you get so concerned about babies?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm gonna the best godparent or maybe just aunt to that kid, depends on your religious views," Teddy joked.

"I know you're going to be." Chloe gave her a soft smile then Teddy gave her a hug to cheer her up.

When Chloe got back to the office, she immediately switched her heels to flats so she could be more comfortable. She also started googling about pregnancy and she scheduled a check-up on the following day.

Dmitri dropped by and brought her flowers. "Are you feeling better?" Seeing him only brought guilt to Chloe.

She nodded as response then turned off her monitor. "What brings you here?"

He handed her the bouquet of pink roses. "I'm gonna ask you out."

"Thank you but I have plans tonight, sorry." She's still figuring out how to tell Phil about her pregnancy. She placed the bouquet on the side of her desk and grabbed a document to keep her busy.

"So you're seeing someone," Dmitri leaned on her desk. "And you'll break his heart too, yeah?"

Chloe gave him a soft smile, "Not this one." She wanted the world to know that Phil is the one for her. It actually felt good telling someone about Phil.

"He's a lucky guy," Dmitri remarked.

"Isn't he? He's dating me so I don't think so," she japed. "I've been getting terribly moody lately so he has to deal with it."

"What makes him so special?"

"That... I can't tell. My lips are sealed," she blushed. Everything about Phil is special, even his flaws are beautiful to her.

Dmitri pursed his lips and brushed a strand of her hair away from her lips. "I arrived too late, haven't I?"

"Dmitri," she didn't know what to say. Her eyes met his and it was absolutely making things difficult for the both of them.
