T H I R D  P E R S O N

the twins are laying down on hyunjin's bed beside each other as they both silently stare at the ceiling. no words left their mouths starting from meeting in front of their house until now. they don't need them anyway. just seeing each other and the trouble evident in their eyes is enough for the two.

they don't exactly know what is troubling their other half. so instead, they both lay down quietly, accompanying each other. silence have been surrounding them, not until yeji decided it's finally time to speak.

" what happened to you? "

hyunjin turn his head to look at his twin. yeji's still staring at the ceiling as she quietly wait for her brother's response. he, though, isn't sure whether she is talking to him or herself.

" what happened to you? " hyunjin asked too. this time, yeji turned to look at her brother. she grin at him, though she still looks sad.

" i asked first " she pointed out, leaving hyunjin with no choice but to tell her everything.

yeji indeed is very surprised to know that hyunjin already knows. if this is a normal day, she would have cursed the hell out of ryujin for saying her feelings out loud. but she didn't know that hyunjin's following them anyway. besides, yeji already knows that eventually hyunjin will know about it.

hyunjin sighed and focussed his eyes back at his ceiling. " my head is such a mess right now. i don't think i want to hear anymore 'i love you's. two is too much for me " he said and ended up chuckling making yeji laugh too.

" of course two is too much! there should only be one you know " the girl said pushing him lightly on the shoulder.

he nod his head, still focussed on the ceiling. " yeah, just one " he murmured enough for yeji to hear. she stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.

" it's chaeyeon " he breathed out. he turn to look at yeji. he saw how there is a slight frown on her face. she looks disappointed but she shake it away and genuinely smiled at him.

" i love her for a very long time now " he said, nodding his head. again, as if he's convincing himself.

yeji noticed this and chuckle at him playfully, before patting his shoulder. " yeah, we know that. you don't have to nod your head like that as if you're convincing yourself about it too " she giggled.

hearing this made hyunjin furrow his eyebrows. is he convincing himself? is he really unsure about it? he don't know at all.

his sister stopped laughing when she realize that he isn't laughing. she saw the look of uncertainty on his face, enough to make her shut up. yeji couldn't deny the excitement building in her stomach. she can't stop thinking about how her friend actually does have a chance, but she hide all this excitement inside her and stayed calm as she wait for her brother to continue speaking.

" i-i don't know yeji " he stuttered, frustration slowly and slowly boiling in him.

" i really, genuinely, love chaeyeon " he said, not nodding anymore. it's true though, he really does love chaeyeon but lots of things are messing with his head.
