" ryujin? "

chaeryoung, together with jeongin and yuna watched as their friend walk away with her head low. they didn't saw anything but just by seeing her form and how she has her head low made jeongin feel that something is wrong.

" huh? where is eonni going? " the innocent tall girl asked as she look at the retreating back of her cousin. jeongin glanced at yuna and then to the other girl, who is looking at him already.

" something must've happ- " chaeryoung didn't finish what she was saying when a gush of wind hit them on their faces. it was quick but the two older ones saw hyunjin run past them, in a hurry.

" ah! what's that? was that a ghost? " yuna asked and then frantically looked around her surroundings.

jeongin looked at the direction his older friend hurriedly went to. his eyebrows furrowed as he realize how his best friend also went that way. with worry filling his stomach, he turned to that direction and decided to follow them.

he hasn't even took a few steps when a hand was wrapped around his wrist, stopping him on his tracks. he turned and look at the girl that stopped him. " let them be for now " chaeryoung said before letting go of him.

jeongin glanced at the direction of where his two friends are and then let out a sigh. " tsk, fine... "

" oh! jisu eonni! yeji eonni! " the two turned to the enthusiastic girl with them as she wave at their other friends. yuna cling her arms on the two and then pulled them with her to the table where they usually eat.

ryujin found herself out in the field. she let herself down on the ground behind the bleachers, hugging her folded legs closer to her, pressing her face on her knees. she wasn't sobbing, the tears are just casually flowing down her cheeks as if it's just normal for it to do so.

she unwrap her right arm from her legs and grab at her uniform, on the spot where her heart is. her heart is beating wildly like she's in danger or something. ryujin tried breathing properly and slowly to help calm her heart.

calm down, he said he was just acting like how you guys really should be. don't think about it too much, you already know that he doesn't belong to you. you already know, this is expected... he doesn't like you...

a choked out sob left her lips as she continue telling herself to calm down. she bite her lower lip and pressed her face closer to her knees. the mixed feelings she has was still there making it harder for her to calm down.

she knew what she just did already blew her cover. she's sure hyunjin already has a clue or at least, is now weirded out by how she just acted. she wanted to slap herself for acting like that, she overeacted so hyunjin might know already how she really feels. after all her hardwork to just keep it in and enjoy the remaining time she can have with hyunjin until he goes back to chaeyeon, she just blew it all.

but how can she not act like that, when all he do is bring her hopes up just to prove her wrong again in the end. he always does things that'll make her feel like it was real. like they are real. only to rub it on her face that she's not the one for him at the end.

hyunjin stared at the girl from afar. this is what he doesn't want to happen. he doesn't want to see her hurt like this, that's why he's trying his best to make it obvious to her that he is not feeling the same thing for her.
