i sit comfortably in the passenger seat here in my father's car. he's driving me to school, like always. i look down at my lap and stared at the hair tie on my left wrist. why does he even have a hair tie with him? his hair is not that long.

yesterday, i forced him to stay at our house and wait for the rain to stop. he was supposed to go already but fortunately my mom came home at that time and she too, forced hyunjin to stay first. he has no choice but to stay.

i gave him a towel so he can at least try to dry himself and then we talked, like before. we talked about school, and also about how long serim liked seungmin. it was cute. we laughed and giggled with one another.

" it's almost your birthday, what are we going to do? " i raised my head and turned to my dad.

" we still have a month for that " i said, rolling my eyes as i let out a chuckle.

" yeah, and i'm already excited " he said, laughing together with me.

" hmm, i don't know yet " i shrug my shoulders then looked outside the window, watching as i see my schoolmates walk by the sidewalk towards the campus.

" well you obviously don't want it grand, so why don't you just invite your friends and your boyfriend over then your mom will cook for them? " he suggested. i hummed and nod my head. they're the only ones i want for my birthday anyway.

the car stopped and i turned to look at dad, ready to say goodbye to him. " on second thought, just your friends. don't invite your boyfriend anymore, he's always at our house i bet he already know where i hide my secret treasure "

i laughed at his statement. oh dear dad, if only you knew that he isn't my byfriend. he'll still be there. i hugged him and then plant a kiss on his right cheek.

" bye! drive safe! " i bid goodbye before closing the door.

on my way to my locker, a few people greeted me and smiled at me so i smiled back at them, ignoring the ones who gave me dark glances and glares. ignore, ignore.

when i arrived, the only ones there were jisu, jisung and felix. seeing the two boys makes me uncomfortable to be honest. i feel bad for them but like, it's their fault too, mostly felix. i greeted them and went to jisu, who is already standing beside my locker.

" good morning! " i greeted her with a smile and opened my locker.

" hmm? good mood? " jisu asked with a smirk on her lips. i giggled and gestured her to come near me. she excitedly did and lend me her ear. i leaned towards her ear, covering the side of my lips before whispering to her, and telling her what happened yesterday.

when we moved away from one another, the smirk on her lips grew bigger, making me let out a chuckle. she pushed a few strands of her hair behind her right ear and was about to say something but then her expression changed as she look at something behind me.

" incoming " she mumbled. with a confused look on my face, i was about to turn around but i felt a tap on my shoulder. i flinched, surprised because of the unexpected. i turned around and saw chaeyeon in front of me.

" hi ryujin! " she greeted me with her angelic smile. she then turned to jisu and waved at her too.

" c-chaeyeon, hi " i stuttered. i smiled back at her. why do i feel nervous suddenly.

" i just want to tell you that you already missed two club meetings, so one last and you might get kicked out of the club " she told me. i let out a chuckle and rub the side of my neck with my left hand.
