i stand in front of the gates of our house as i wait patiently. i don't really have to be impatient since i just got out of the house. i dig my hands deeper in the pocket of my jacket that i have zipped up. it's five in the morning and it's very cold.

i am still on my pjs when jeongin sent me a message. he wants to eat and lucky for him i am also awake and in need of food. i don't know why i woke up early today. it's a saturday and i am supposed to wake up late like how i usually do, but today i didn't.

my phone vibrated so i quickly take it out of my pocket and saw a message from jeongin.

i snickered and started typing a response.

i scoff at his reply and started typing a response. but then, someone snatched my phone from me making me let out a squeal. i quickly looked up and saw jeongin standing in front of me with his lower lip pursed.

" i'm so fucking hungry " he whined and gave me back my phone. i exaggeratedly gasped and hit him on the shoulder.

" don't curse! you're still a baby " i scolded him as we started walking. he let out a chuckle and shake his head.

" we're the same age, you curse and i can't? what an unfair world " he stated and let out a sigh as we continue walking towards the nearby convenience store.

" don't copy me, i'm not the best role model " i said and chuckled. i dig my hands deeper in my jacket's pocket again. it's so cold!

" i'm not copying you, i'm being me " he said and put his arms over my shoulder, pushing me closer towards him.

" it's so cold " i murmured and snuggled closer towards him. he let out a breath while nodding his head.

" so fucking cold " he said making me groan at hearing him curse. he only laughed at my reaction.

jeongin and i always go out for very early breakfast. sometimes we even wake up early in a school day so that we can eat breakfast together. this has been our routine when we became best friends.

it all started when i found out about how he always skips breakfast. for me, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. so i will always wake him up very early so that he can join me to eat breakfast.

at first he thinks i'm crazy for being so persistent. but eventually he realized that i won't stop until he eat breakfast regularly. fortunately, he did eat breakfast now. sometimes he'll eat on his own, but most of the times he'll message me so that we can eat together.

" i want kimchi fried rice and seaweed soup " he blurted out of nowhere. he hissed and started walking quicker, since he's holding me i also had to walk faster.

" me, i want ramen with cheese and kimbap and cola " i said and licked my lower lip. geez i'm so hungry.

jeongin playfully pushed me away from him and started running when the convenience store appeared in front of us. i groaned in response and run after him. this meanie, he didn't even wait for me.
