Chapter 35

Payton woke up and looked over to see August gone. She sigh rubbing her hands down her face. Her arm was still wrapped up and she just wanted sleep in. Her arm was hurting and she didn't have any painkillers to stop it. She checked her phone to see she had a text from Pierre.

Pierre🔥: Sis, check on ya boy Yung. It's Mel birthday, also I love you and have a great day❤️.

"MARCO" she yelled his name and he came running in her room jumping on her bed.

"Wait" she said giggling as he began to jump on her and lick her.

"Marco wait" she said chuckling and he sat down on top of her.

"Hungry" she asked and he barked.

"Come on" she said and he jumped off of her.

She brushed her teeth and washed her face before walking out the bathroom and to the kitchen. She grabbed her a water and closed the fridge. She got Marco's food and noticed he was almost out.

"Looks like I have to go out today" she said to herself as she closed the pantry.

She fixed Marco some food and water. She made her a bowl of her cereal and they both sat and ate their breakfast. Once they finished she let him out and went to take a shower. She got dressed and headed out with her and Marco.

August was home sitting on the couch. Today was Mel's birthday and he was struggling. Lastnight he had a crazy dream about him, it was so bad he left Payton house. He missed his brother and this would always be the hardest time of the year for him.

He held the bag of perc. in his hands and just stared at it. He wanted to have one more conversation with his brother just one. He missed him so much and he felt like everything was on him when it came to the family now.

His phone began to ring and Payton & his picture popped up. It was a picture of her asleep on his chest. He watched it ring, Melvin didn't leave his mind. He wondered what the twins were doing. He grabbed his phone and called them, Yoni answered the phone.

"Uncle August, where are you" Yoni asked and he sigh.

"I'm sorry Yoni, I can't make it" he told her and she sigh.

"Uncle Yung, it's been six years I know my dad is very upset with you for not coming to see him" she told him and the just made him feel like the worst.

"I'm sorry, I'll come next year" he told her and she smacked her teeth.

"You said that last year and the years before that uncle Yung." She told him and he sigh.

"Yoni imma call you back" he said hanging up on her.

They was having a ballon release for him. That was something they'd do for him ever year. August hadn't went to not one of them. He felt guilty, he always felt if he hadn't went on that date with Payton that night Melvin would still be there.

He opened the bags of perc's and grabbed two. He had been drinking henny all day. He looked at them and remember what they did to him last time. He didn't have a care though. As he was about to take them there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it" he yelled putting the pills back in the bag.

"YOUR GIRLFRIEND" He heard Payton yell from the other side of the door.

He didn't wanna talk either. He sigh throwing the bag on the table before standing up. He pulled the his pants up as he made his way to the door. He opened it and he seen Marco trying to lick Payton.
