For Tenten, the weekdays passed by in a flash. She and Neji both brought up nothing that had to do with their "relationship", engulfing themselves in the work from their classes. Soon, she woke up to the light pouring through the windows on Saturday afternoon. Tenten frowned, sitting up in bed and grabbing her phone. She had spent the night before at her desk, finishing an essay. The first thing she saw on her phone was an excited text from Ino, telling the group to meet in the dorms lobby at five.
The time on Tenten's phone read 4:23. How late did I stay up? She wondered, shutting off her phone. She could hear running water coming from the bathroom, guessing that Neji was probably showering. Going to her closet, the brunette grabbed a change of clothes and changed in the room since the bathroom was occupied. Once she had changed, she sat on the bed, scrolling through her phone as she waited for Neji to finish.
Tenten heard the water turn off, Neji stepping out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Her eyes widened, and he smirked at the look on her face. "Like what you see?" He asked.
"Pfft, no," Tenten muttered, gluing her eyes back on her phone. "Are you done hogging the bathroom? I need to get ready."
"No, I still need to blow dry my hair," Neji stated.
Tenten gave him a glare, getting off the bed and heading towards the bathroom. "I don't care, I'm using it first. I won't wait another twenty minutes for you to blow dry your precious hair." She slammed the door and locked it, brushing her teeth and putting her hair up in two buns before exiting the bathroom. Tenten checked the time on her phone, which read 4:37. Neji was muttered incoherent words about his hair, making the brunette roll her eyes as she plopped down on the bed, scrolling through social media while waiting for him to finish.
Once Neji finished blow drying his lovely hair, the two headed towards the lobby. After the group already gathered there waited for the others to arrive, they all agreed to take a few cars. "The girls can go in mine," Ino declared, clicking her car keys to unlock the minivan.
"I have an SUV," Naruto suggested, "I can take some of the guys." Sasuke, Kiba, Lee, and Neji decided to ride with Naruto.
The left Shikamaru, Temari, Chouji, Shino, and Gaara to take Kankuro's truck. Surprisingly, Kankuro had seat belts for the back of his truck. He got in the driver's seat while Gaara sat in the passenger seat. The rest buckled themselves up in the back.
Ino texted everyone the address of the location, mentioning how they'd go out to dinner after the haunted house. That way, no one would throw up the delicious food they would have consumed if the group had gone out to eat first. When they arrived at a large, creepy mansion, Ino grinned and hopped off the car, conversing with a lady wearing a fancy dress costume stationed at the entrance. Turns out, the lady's a close friend of the Yamanaka family, and since there was an odd amount of people, Ino agreed to spectate instead of doing the challenge.
"Alright, listen up y'all!" Ino yelled as the group gathered at the entrance of the haunted house. "I'm pairing you all up, no excuses. I know who will work together best."
