Author's Note: I'm bad at calculating time and traveling stuff so they'll just fly at night and arrive at night. Sorry about that xD.

Many of the places they visit in Miami will be made up. I have never been to Miami so I can't base anything off of my real-life experiences.

Today was Wednesday, the day of the project. Tenten spent most of the day finishing up packing her things. She'd barely said anything to Neji the past few days. Their flight was at 9:30 at night and they'd arrive in Miami, Florida at around 10:30 in the evening if everything went smoothly.

The project requirements were to stick with your partner, which meant Tenten had to sit beside Neji for hours on the plane plus be stuck with him for the next two weeks. How fun, she thought sarcastically. On the bright side, it would be a direct flight from Tokyo to Miami.

Everyone was driven to the airport in private Konoha University buses. There were thirty-two people in total, which meant sixteen pairs of people. Kakashi came along, of course, as did another man named Yamato sensei. After doing all the proper procedures, everyone from the English class entered the airplane. Tenten crinkled her nose at the strong smell of some type of fuel mixed with the leathery, new-car-like scent of the plane's interior. She didn't like the smell.

Luckily, the group members were all close together (this won't include everyone in the English class):

Sasuke, Sakura [aisle] Tenten, Neji
Shikamaru, Temari [aisle] Ino, Chouji
Naruto, Hinata [aisle] Lee, Gaara
Shino, Kiba [aisle] Kankuro, (random person)

"Yay, I get a great view of Shikamaru and Temari kissing," Ino joked while Temari rolled her eyes at the comment.

Sasuke seemed uninterested about everything, crossing his arms before deciding to stare out the window emotionlessly. Sakura gave a sigh and took out a book to read. Shikamaru immediately fell asleep and Temari decided to also read a book. Naruto was busy chatting with Hinata, who blushed at a lot of things he said to her. Lee was talking to Gaara, and Shino either took a nap or had a staring contest with the back of Hinata's seat. No one could tell with those glasses he had on. Kiba was tending to Akamaru while Kankuro talked to his partner. Chouji ate chips he bought from a snack store earlier in the airport and Ino scrolled through her phone, which she had already put on airplane mode. She also made sure to snap a few pictures of Naruto and Hinata's adorable conversation for shipping purposes.

Neji put in his earbuds and put on a sleep mask. Like Sasuke, he too seemed uninterested about everything. Tenten shrugged and took out her phone, wondering if there was any airplane wifi. Thankfully, the plane had wifi. She didn't know how she'd be able to stand sleeping and doing nothing for the entire flight, although perhaps she could talk to the other girls. However, she felt slightly tired since it was nighttime so she leaned against the seat, buckled her seatbelt, and tried to sleep. She assumed everyone else would sleep too, once the plane was in flight.

Tenten wasn't able to sleep until after a safety video played and the plane had gone airborne. She was able to take off her seatbelt after a bit of time, so she did so before leaning her head back once again, closing her eyes, and letting sleep overcome her.

Hours later, Tenten woke up and felt her head leaning against something...OH. She shot up in embarrassment. Neji was awake, unfortunately and he raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. "Ah, sorry about that," Tenten whispered.

"It's fine," Neji replied quietly, careful not to speak too loud. He didn't plan on waking up half-asleep people around him and having them throw a fit.

Tenten checked her phone and saw that the time had changed, but luckily she'd set a stopwatch for how long she'd slept. She'd slept six hours and forty-seven minutes, meaning that there'd be around eleven more hours to go before they'd arrive in Miami. Tenten looked around and saw that Sakura and Sasuke were both asleep. Ino was awake, and when she noticed Tenten was awake too, she winked and tapped her phone screen a few times before holding it up, revealing a photo of the brunette sleeping on Neji's shoulder. 'What the heck Ino?!' She mouthed, glaring at the platinum blonde who only smirked in reply. She sighed, not too surprised at Ino's actions.

After playing a random game on her phone for around twenty minutes or so, a flight attendant wheeled a food cart through the aisle. She ordered a sandwich and water since she wasn't very hungry. Neji didn't order anything at all because he claimed he'd already eaten earlier. After finishing her food, Tenten reached past him and opened the window to check what the world outside the airplane looked like. It was completely dark. Well, nothing to see out there, she thought in dismay. She had no idea what she'd do for the next...eleven hours or so? Sighing, the brunette decided to just play games on her phone or scroll through social media for the rest of the time left. This is going to be a long flight.
