The night before, some simpler preparations were made, but the current day was when they would cook the main dishes. Their jobs were split up, and as of right now, Sakura was making the green bean casserole, Hinata and Ino worked on the turkey, Tenten chopped the vegetables for the turkey, and Temari made the butternut squash soup. The mashed potatoes were made yesterday and all it needed was a bake, the salad greens were already mixed up, the cranberry jelly was already made, and since the Yamanakas had a huge house, they had two large ovens; one above and one below. The pies, casseroles, and mashed potatoes would go in the higher oven while the turkey would go in the lower oven for easier accessibility.
After a few hours of cooking and preparing the table, everyone began to arrive. Gaara and Kankuro arrived first, helping with the finishing preparations. Sasuke and Naruto arrived next, and after that Neji, Chouji, and Shikamaru arrived. Lee soon came and decided that the food looked 'youthfully appetizing'. The rest of the group arrived after that, and the house filled with laughter, chatter, and bustling activity.
Since the girls slept late and woke up later, Ino decided they would start their Black Friday shopping at night after the Thanksgiving dinner with the group, so that they could get there before the majority of people. However, that meant that no amount of alcohol could be consumed, otherwise their systems and bodies wouldn't function correctly.
All fifteen of them sat at the large dining table, which had many dishes in the center. Most of them took many, many pictures of the food before Ino gave a small Thanksgiving speech about how lucky they all are to have each other.
Then, they dug in.
