Finally, after a night of restless sleep, it was Christmas day. Tenten woke up feeling anxious, but she simply ignored it and hauled her large bag of presents out from her closet. After quickly changing and getting ready, she dragged the bag to Ino and Temari's dorm. A few of the group members were already there with their gifts for everyone as well.
Once everyone had arrived, the regular gifts were handed out first. Once that was done, the Secret Santa challenge gifts were placed in the center of the rug.
"Already everyone, find yours and open it," Ino declared.
After shuffling through the bags, everyone managed to find the one with their name written on the inside. Tenten opened hers and found a box. Upon opening it, she saw that it was a silver necklace with a silver kunai pendant and a tiny white crystal at the end of the handle. There was also a shuriken pendant with a tiny white crystal in the center. Those better not be diamonds...
Over, the necklace was beautiful. She brushed her fingertips against the pendant before glancing around at the other people in the room. Sasuke was just taking out his gift. Tenten stifled a laugh at the sight of a large, adorable duck plushie. Then he took out an orange book that looked very, very familiar. She suddenly remembered; their English sensei, Kakashi, reads it. Everyone called it porn and he was often referred to as the perverted sensei. The brunette chuckled in amusement, wondering who could've given Sasuke such a gift.
Nature was practically shouting with joy, holding up a large stack of Ichiraku Ramen coupons as if he'd won a golden trophy. He reached into his bag and pulled out another gift- a beautifully knit read scarf. A smile lit up his face as he admired his gift.
Tenten felt very distracted all throughout that morning. She wanted to confront Neji about what happened the day before, but he'd already given his answer.
"Forget it, Tenten."
She didn't know what to do. Perhaps talk to the girls? As much as she wanted to forget, she just couldn't. The more she tried to forget, the more it bothered her. She was almost...afraid. Afraid that she might have feelings for a certain Hyuga.
