A loud screaming noise filled Tenten's ears. She groaned, her hand swiping the nightstand in search of her phone. Once she managed to get ahold of it, she clicked snooze, burying herself in the covers once again. A few minutes later, she heard the scream again, so the brunette grabbed her phone and threw it.

"Ow," A voice muttered.

Tenten peeked one eye open and saw Neji sitting on his bed, her phone in his hand. He curiously took a look at the screen. "Hey, give me that!" She yelled, leaping out of bed and snatching the phone from his hand.

"Ino said to meet in the lobby at 3:00. Right now, it's 2:40. You might want to get ready," Neji informed her, turning back to his laptop.

"Ah!" Tenten exclaimed, quickly rushing to the closet. "Ino is gonna kill me if I'm late!" She rummaged through the drawers for the proper attire before turning to the clothing hung up on hangers.

"Out of curiosity, where are you going?" Neji asked, glancing up at the brunette.

"Lunch, then costume shopping," Tenten's muffled voice said from the closet. "After that, Ino said she had a surprise planned, but I don't know what. Ino can be unpredictable, and she's like the leader of the group, almost."

Neji nodded, but saw that the brunette's head was still shoved in her closet. "I guess so," He replied, his tone loud enough for her to hear.

Tenten decided on a simple black skirt, which she normally wouldn't wear, and a white blouse. She headed into the bathroom and changed before glancing at her reflection in the mirror. She looked decent enough in her eyes, so she grabbed her purse, dropping her phone, key card, and keys in before leaving the dorm. When she set foot in the lobby, she saw Sakura and Hinata chatting with one another.

"Tenten!" Sakura said, smiling when she caught sight of the brunette. "Ino and Temari will be here any minute. You can help me tease Hinata about Naruto."

"No!" Hinata cried out, her soft voice filled with embarrassment.

"Come on, it's obvious you two have feelings for each other. Both of you just don't feel like admitting it!" Tenten chimed in. "By the way, I saw part of your adventure in the haunted house. You two got along perfectly!"

"Unlike me and someone I ended up with," Sakura muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tenten gave her a reassuring smile. "No worries, denial is the first stage of acceptance. In my opinion, you two fight like a married couple."

Sakura shot her a glare, muttering incoherent words. Tenten felt right though, Sakura and Sasuke indeed argue like a married couple. It's the slightest bit romantic in a very non-romantic way. After all, Sakura did have feelings for Sasuke at one point according to her friends, but she got over that after claiming it was simply puppy love, a mere fangirl state of mind. However, Sakura's close friends know that it could differ. After the night of truth or dare, Sasuke and Sakura would shoot glares at one another when in public, but in the haunted house they'd simply unleashed all that anger. Why do they seem to hate each other? Who knows.

Ino and Temari stepped out of the elevator, grinning at them before they all headed to Ino's minivan. The first place Ino drove to was a restaurant for a late lunch. "Table for five," Ino informed the waiter, who lead them to a table. The girls sat down before Ino spoke up, "This is a lunchinner, or supplunch, or dinlunch, or lunchupper. Who cares what it's called, but it means a lunch slash dinner thing. You'll have a few hours to digest your food, but you won't end up hungry. The surprise later requires a somewhat empty stomach, so you better eat up now. After this, we'll finish our costume shopping."

"What's the fuss about the big surprise anyways, Ino-pig?" Sakura asked as she scanned a menu.

"Oh, you'll find out later," Ino replied, winking with a grin.

The waiter came back shortly, asking the girls for anything to drink.

"Iced tea," Sakura told him, and Hinata said the same.

Temari muttered, "Iced water," Not bother to look up as she read the menu.

"Iced lemonade," Ino told the waiter.

"Iced water with lemon," Tenten said, flashing the waiter a smile. He nodded, scribbling their orders down on a notepad before leaving.

"So, Tenten, I haven't gotten to ask this yet, but how does Neji like the costume?" Ino asked.

"He didn't insult it, so I suppose he finds it at least decent-looking," Tenten replied, chuckling before her lips curved down in a frown. "After the masquerade party though, I'm telling our friends about the challenge. I feel guilty about keeping it a secret this long."

"Hey, a challenge is a challenge, right? You two look good together. Why not just end the challenge now and begin dating for real?" Temari asked, smirking.

"Uh, I don't think either of us want to," Tenten replied, "Besides, we bicker too much."

"Sasuke and Sakura bicker, and they're soul mates," Ino commented, earning a glare from the pinkette.

Hinata just giggled as she watched her friends tease one another. However, when Ino turned to her and asked, "How's it going with Naruto?" Her calm emotions immediately turned to embarrassment, her face heating up. She guessed her face was redder than Karin Uzumaki's hair.

"N-Nothing," Hinata stammered, "Naruto and I have nothing going on. We're g-good friends, but we d-don't talk often." It was true, in the past few weeks, they hadn't conversed much. The only real conversations they had were mostly during the haunted house competition.

Ino looked at her with a suspicious look on her face before grinning, assuring the Hyuga that her "NaruHina" ship would indeed sail. Seems like Ino had ship names for all of them. Hinata sat there, speechless with her face as red as a tomato.
