Author's Note: Be prepared for a new character. Hehehehehehe-
You can probably tell from the title who this new character will be xD.
I want to thank everyone who made it to chappy 41! It's been weeks since I first started this book, and I want to thank everyone for the support you've given me. It truly means a lot and it's motivated me to keep writing despite multiple writer's blocks. I've questioned myself a few times, like, "should I continue writing this?" and omg I'm so glad I continued and didn't just delete this story like countless other ones I've written in the past but soon lost motivation for. The story is almost over so there'll probably be somewhere around 10 chapters left, maybe more, maybe less.
Love you all and thank you for reading. I hope you've enjoyed this fanfic so far! :3

Tenten's eyelids fluttered open. Her surroundings were unfamiliar, and it took her a moment before she remembered where she was. The room was bright and lit with beams of golden sunlight that spilled through the glass. What was even more unfamiliar was the feeling of Neji's bare, toned chest underneath her. Wait what?! How did I end up here? Sometime during the night, they must've somehow ended up in their positions. So much for staying on their own sides of the bed. Now she had to figure out how to get up without waking Neji.
Both his arms were curled over her body, as if holding her in an embrace. Tenten felt so...at peace, lying on his chest with his arms around her. She inhaled his manly scent, sighing in content before thinking what the hell am I doing?! But...if she couldn't get up without waking him, she'd just have to wait until he woke up himself. Freeing one arm from under the covers, the brunette delicately traced her fingers over the muscles on his chest. "Oh Neji, why must you be so good-looking?" She whispered.
"You think I'm good looking, hm?" Neji teased, opening his eyes to look at the woman in his arms.
Tenten opened her mouth to speak, her face flushing in embarrassment. "I-I thought you were asleep-" She stammered, quickly freeing herself from his hold and rolling back to her side of the bed. She grabbed her charging phone off the nightstand and pulled the charger out, checking her notifications.
Ino: swimming at 10:00 am if ur free! meet next to the smoothie bar on the beach and bring your partners along since thats part of the project requirements. wear your swimsuits and bring towels, any beach stuff you wanna use, and sunscreen! if you dont have sunscreen dont worry i have a few bottles.
Ino had sent the message in the group chat.
It was currently 9:42 in the morning. Shrugging, the brunette decided she'd go if Neji agreed to it, since he was her partner after all. She gave a sigh; she had to be by his side almost twenty-four seven. However, swimming would help get her mind off things. A little inner voice whispered in her head, you can't run and hide from your problems forever. Someday you'll have to face them.
But how would she face her problems? She'd never felt this way before with any man. Being with him made her feel happy, despite the fact they'd playfully bicker often. Whenever they touched it felt as though a spark of electricity passed through her. And oh, the feel of his lips against hers that made her heart race- it was simply intoxicating. She didn't understand why she felt so many emotions with Neji. Sure, she'd kissed men before him, but she didn't feel anything. It was just a plain, simple kiss, lips against lips. With him, she actually felt something, something more intimate and special. It was hard to describe what she felt though. Heck, she didn't even know why she felt that way.
"Ino invited everyone for a swim. Do you want to go?" Tenten asked, dismissing her thoughts and taking her eyes off the screen of her phone.
"Sure," Neji replied. He got up and grabbed his swimwear before walking into the bathroom.
