Looking around
I see nothing but
Devastation.
Blood on the wall.
Towering over
Squashed bodies line the
Floor.
Danger seems to disappear.
Warm sunlight
reminds me of my
Goal.
Death isn't the plan.
Our job
is to bring back
Food.
The nozzle attacks again.
A stream
of liquid cold and
Toxic.
I stop at once.
Oh to
be a successful little
Ant.
A family gone quickly.
No one
to save us from
Monsters.
This life ends shortly.

HAPPY JUNE!!!
I typically write in the perspective of a human and because I was given this amazing first stanza by a friend {shoutout to Alexa!!!}, I wanted to put a little spin on things. It's very different that what I'm accustomed to writing but I hope you all enjoyed it too.
~ Have you ever killed an ant?
Did you feel bad afterwards?
Sometimes I do.
Sending you all the good vibes,
D.O.
