Hi!

On the last day of 2020, I hope you all have been reflecting on everything including your life, ambitions, hopes, dreams and goals.

At the end of every milestone, whether it be the end of a year, a month or the anniversary of a birthday or first date, it is always important to stop and reflect. This year has been many things and while many of us have suffered due to the global pandemic, there has been good. There has been light behind the darkness. We have learned to cherish the small moments, to prioritize our mental health, and to recognize injustice in our world. These are valuable lesson that I pray we will take into the new year and every year after. That does not diminish the real pains and breakdowns we have experienced nor do I think the good has surpassed the bad. This has been a year unlike any other but it has only been a year. 2020 does not define the future nor does it dictate what our life should be. We have the opportunity to dream again and to hope new hopes. And I believe the only way to do that properly is through reflection.

Think about where you have been, where you are going and what you can do to not only better yourself but the lives of others. Reflection is not only about thinking but about action. Make plans that list small actions you can take to accomplish your goals. Be kind to yourself and set reasonable goals. If 2020 has taught us anything it is to expect the unexpected. You may not purchase that dream house, but you can still save money towards it. Do what you can so that you can be proud of your achievements not matter how small they may seem.

If you have gotten through this year alive, give yourself a round of applause. You have survived a global pandemic and I am so proud of you! I am thankful you exist and you are here!

Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve!
