To Parker,

10. I wish you knew how much I hated that bitch.

Hayley's POV

"Girlfriend? Seriously, Nia, when are you gonna stop huh? I've been nothing but nice to you, but the nicest people have their breaking point. Stop telling people you're my girlfriend and give them the wrong idea about us." He peeled her arms away from his waist before outstretching a hand towards me once again.

"Come on, I'll introduce you to the rest of the guys." I motioned towards my feet, "I need to take off my shoes, go ahead, I'm right behind you." Parker slid his gaze towards Xenia who was leaned against the wall, her eyes narrowed to slits, burning a hole through my head.

She suddenly broke into a smile, "I won't bite her, Parker." With a heavy sigh he disappeared into the living room, leaving me with the beautiful she-devil. I slipped off my sneakers, patiently waiting for the moment where she'd threaten me. I began to count down, trying but failing to hide the smirk on my lips.

5, 4, 3, 2 and 1, "stay away from my man." She clipped, her piercing blue eyes boring into mine. I stood upright, confused as to why she thought that would intimidate me. I have a feeling this isn't the first time she's tried to scare off any girl-friend Parker's had. But I'm not gonna be anyone's doormat.

Kindness may kill, but sometimes you have to hit someone with much more force than they've hit you. That way they're most likely to stand down. Taking the high road doesn't always lead you to the end of the rainbow and I've had to learn that the hard way when I tried it with Vanessa.

I closed the space between us and despite the height difference she still couldn't intimidate me as much as she hoped to. I smiled, "it seems to me like Parker doesn't want you to be his girlfriend. Such a beautiful girl like you shouldn't act this desperate. If it gets to the point where you have to beg or convince someone to date you, just give up. Been there done that, Kay?"

"What the hell do you know?" She spat. I chose to ignore her because if I don't It'll just be an endless battle of insults. I sauntered into the living room and thankfully Parker was leaned against the wall beside the entrance possibly waiting for my arrival.

"What did she say to you?" He asked in concern.

"Nothing I couldn't handle," I gave him a reassuring nod of my head and with a smile, he motioned towards his friends. "Guys!" Their heads swivelled towards us simultaneously, "this is Hayley. Hayley these are my friends and aside from everyone you've already met, meet Riley, Ben, Martha, Quincy and Regina. And I hope you didn't forget Sean, Milton, Greg, Harper, Colton and Baxter."

I stared back at him, wondering if the case of my blurred vision was because of an oncoming aneurysm. I'm not sure if I'll befriend everyone here anyways so remembering all their names is useless. "Hi, I'm Martha!" A blonde-haired girl chirped as she waved me towards her frantically.

I sauntered towards her like a gravitational pull. I didn't understand why that was until I was standing before her, hand outstretched to shake hers, however, she enveloped me in a hug. I get it now, she's a friendly person, of course, and your body can tell when it's time to fight or run.

"Yeah everyone knows not to shake Martha's hands, Superwoman. I mean her name is Martha goddamnit if that doesn't scream old woman I don't know what does." Milton exclaimed when I pulled away from her arms, perplexed. Sean punched him in the arm, "the hell have I told you about insulting my girlfriend?"

Martha parted her lips to speak but before she could she suddenly jerked forward, bumping into me. I took a step back out of reflex and crashed into Parker's arms. I peered up at him then at Martha who was glaring daggers at Xenia, "that she-devil and I will have serious problems. Parker, get your unhinged barbie in check."
