One Of A Kind (Klaus Mikaelson x OC)

Chapter 26- The Funeral.

After talking it out with Klaus he agreed that I could go to Caroline's for her birthday. So that's where I'm heading now. I carefully opened the door to their house and crept in. Me and Liz planned everything out. It was early in the morning and Liz was in the Kitchen with our ingredients. I smile at her and greet her before setting off o work and making an amazing breakfast.

I made pancakes with chocolate chips and a white chocolate sauce. And I made her a hot cup of blood. On the way here I also got her favorite donuts. I also made some scrambled eggs with bacon and french toast.  I might have gotten a little overboard. The counter was covered in a mess as I place the food down on the table. I quickly clean up and move towards Caroline's room. I open the door and see Caroline sleeping quietly and when her door creaked a little she didn't intend on moving probably deciding on sleeping longer.

"Happy Birthday!" I scream as I jump on my best friend's bed. Caroline groaned and pulled the cover further up over her head hiding from the light.

"Go away," Caroline growled.

"Caroline Elizbeth Forbed! Today is your birthday and I'll be dammed if we don't make it one hell of a day. Come on I made you breakfast and got your favorite" I sang. She immediately sat up taking a sniff of the air.

"You got Sugar Stack Donuts?" She asks excitedly. Then she frowns.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask.

"Grace, I love you but, you do realize that I'm a vampire right?" She asks pulling the covers off. "I don't age anymore."

"So? Before that, we had to make your birthday a holiday ." I pointed out. " I remember last year when Elen's parents died and it came time for your birthday you made Elena celebrate it but she didn't need to spend 100 dollars unlike everyone else." 

"Hey, that was a fair bargain!" Caroline laughs playfully. "I'll admit, I may have not been the best person back then."

"Just a little." I agreed putting up my pointer and thump together but to leave a little room in between them.  Caroline smirked at me. A smirk that you know is mischievous. Suddenly Caroline pushes me off of the bed and I land on the floor with a bug 'Thump'.  "Hey! Fine, I'll let you have that one. But get your fat ass out of bed, Caroline." I say dragging her down on the floor with me.

"No!" Caroline groans but giggles as she lands back on the floor with me. I hop up with an extra jump in my step and pull Caroline up. Caroline not even helping as she lays limp so I use my werewolf strength. She flys up to her feet looking amused. 

"Onward. We have food to feast on." I usher her while pointing towards the Kitchen. " Here we have a stake of chocolate chip pancakes, drizzled in white chocolate. My special french toast with bacon and eggs on the side. Your favorite donuts with a nice hot cup of animal blood to top it off." I explain while showing her the table stacked with food.

Caroline put on a smile. It looked believable but knowing her for such a long time I knew it wasn't

"Thanks, guys. I love it."

After breakfast, we headed off for school and I got a text message from  Elena.

'hey just so you're not too mad when you find out but I had Damon compel Jeremy to leave town. And before you say anything it's safer if he's not in the middle of this supernatural drama. Oh and Damon kissed me.' 

After that text, Caroline pulls over and I just glare at my phone screen.

"What?" Caroline asks.

"I'm pissed at Elena," I reply while my jaw locks in place.

"What did she do?"

"Her and Damon both. I mean who does she think she is?! Jeremy is like a brother to me too. I may not be blood but I could've protected him!" I explain angrily.
