Short chapter, BUT it's actually very important for later on!Washington was driving Alex and his wife back to their house to grab their things. The house had taken crazy amount of damage, so Washington decided it would be best to stay at his vacation home until the house was fixed. When Alexander woke up, the doctor wanted to keep him for a few hours to watch his vital signs. Washington decided it would be best if Alex didn't go to school that day. To his surprise, the boy didn't protest, only nodded in agreement.
They had arrived at the house in silence. Alex hesitantly went inside and up to his room. He grabbed his clothes, school bag, laptop and phone. Flashbacks of the previous night clouding his mind. He looked at the window and froze when he saw a piece of paper just sitting there. He went and grabbed it before leaving the room. He quickly met the Washington's down stairs, leaving into the car. He sat in the backseat, scrolling through his phone. He had about 57 missed calls and over 150 text messages from his friends. Most of his texts asking where he was or if anything happened. Alex smiled a bit at the fact that his friends were worried about him. There was one message from Thomas that made his day.
Mâcâroni_mâster: Is everything ok love?
"HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! HE CALLED ME LOVE!" Alex then smacked his hand over his mouth when he realized that he said that out loud. Mrs. Washington was giggling at the boy's enthusiasm. "I'm sorry."
"It's alright honey. I think it's cute that he called you love." Alexander smiled at the woman only to start freaking out.
"Oh god! What now? Do I say it back? Are we even a thing? I've never been in a relationship-"
"Alex, sweetie please calm down." He did as he was told.
"Sorry about that. I guess I'm just on edge."
"That's alright, son. We understand."
"I found this on the window when I was getting my things back at the house." Alex pulled the paper out of his pocket and proceeded to unfold it. "It's a note."
"What does it say?" Alex read out loud.
Washington,
I will offer you a truce on one condition. Hand over the boy to me. If you do so, nobody else will get hurt. You have 2 days to give him up or else.-J. Ham
"Alexander, are you okay?"
"Huh?"
"Your crying sweetie." Alex brushed away his tears and dropped the note.
"I'm fine, ma'am. It's just...nothing."
"We're here." They all got out of the car and Alex stopped once he saw the vacation place. It was twice the size of their house. It was even nicer on the inside. Washington lead him up stairs upstairs to his new room. The room was twice as big and had a balcony. The bed was a queen sized and he had a walk in closet.
"T-this is my room?" Alex asked in disbelief. Washington smiled at his excitement.
"Yes son. This is your room." Alex sat on the bed and bounced on it
"So comfy!" He threw himself back and laid down.
"I'm going to help Martha get our room set up. If you need anything please let me know."
"Okay dad-" Alex threw his hand over his mouth, afraid of how Washington would react. He doesn't think of you as a son, Alex. He didn't say anything when you called him that before out of pity! Your nothing!
"It's okay Alex." Washington pushed a strand of Alexander's hair out of his face. "It's totally fine. I'm actually flattered you see me that way." With that, he walked off. Leaving behind a confused Alexander.
*Time skip brought to you by an Alexander who's living the dream! I mean, his room man!*
"George, do you think he'll be happy with us?"
"I'm sure of it! This boy deserves so much more than what he was given. Someone who was supposed to love and care for him only caused pain and suffering. Martha, we can change that. He-" *sniffle* "He called me 'dad.' That might be a sign that he trusts us."
"The paperwork is a four week process, but it'll be worth it. We've only known him for a short amount of time and I already feel like it's meant to be."
"He has that effect on people."
"I'm up for it if you are, love."
"Martha..."
"...I think we found our fit!"
Hmmmm...I wonder if Washingdad will give Alex up. 🤔
...
*insert laughter*
Yeah right! 😂😂😂
But what was he discussing with his wife? I guess we'll find out later on. Stay tuned!
