"... Love comes in circles and love takes it's own time, bending and breaking, not taking a straight line..."

Few days after her breakdown, Amirah was feeling better, she and Muhammad planned to spend the day together doing lavish outings and she was excited for that.
Muhammad had made an appointment with a therapist for her and it was in three days time, she had mixed feelings about that one but she was hopeful now that she was atleast getting somewhere.
"You still won't change your mind about us watching the scary..." The words died on his lips and his steps halted as he came into the room and saw Amirah's bare back, she hurriedly tried to cover up but it was too late.
She'd come into the room to pick up her phone but then decided to change her blouse which was why Muhammad had barged into her room, he wasn't expecting to see her topless.
"What was that?" He asked coming close to her. She hugged her scarf to her chest and took a step backwards.
"It's nothing, please leave it alone."
"No Amirah you had series of scars lining your back and I'd love to know..."
She interrupted him. "I'd tell you when I'm ready let's just... Let's not ruin today okay? I'm really excited about it."
He looked at her with worried eyes before slowly nodding, "you promise you'd tell me?" He asked.
                              "Yes I will."
He left the room without a word and she collapsed on the bed with a sigh.
Whenever she was being intimate with a man, she always made sure the lights were turned off or the blinds shut, no one has ever seen her scars except for her and well... The one who'd inflicted them.
There were a lot of things about her that no one knew of, even the closest person to her; Khadijah. Making friends was hard for her but even the ones that became friends by association, she couldn't maintain them, keeping friends was a work, they'd reveal their secrets to you and expect the same from you but Amirah was different, her mouth was mum about almost everything concerning her.
The outing started out awkward, as expected. They both sat in the car as Muhammad drove, the only sound was the swishing of the wind and a Lady Antebellum's song playing softly from the car radio.
They were headed to an art gallery at Ikoyi, it was hidden and a little hard to find for first timers like them, which was why Muhammad had called the number on their website where a lady with a pleasant voice had described it to him and told him to call if he had more questions.
Muhammad had a new found interest in art and he was interested in Amirah's opinion in some of the artworks they could get to display in their home.
"Why are they called Lady Antebellum when they're a band with two males and a female?" Amirah asked desperate to end the silence, Muhammad gave her a brief dumb expression.
"I don't even know what you're talking about."
"The band singing, they're called Lady Antebellum but it has two guys and a girl, the name's weird." She said adjusting her seatbelt as they began to leave the main city behind.
"I didn't even know they were a band, I thought it was just a lady singing.." Muhammad said nonchalantly, Amirah glared at him.
                              "You can't hear a man's voice abi?"
"I thought he was just an undercover singer."
Amirah stared at him confused. "Which one is undercover singer?"
