"... All of my worries go soon as you come through the door, thinking about what it'd be like to be yours..."

Muhammad was elated. He decided he'll put the thought of where Amirah had been last night behind him. She had lied but for whatever reason he forgave her, she was obviously ready to give them a new chance.

After all these months, five whole hellish months and In Sha Allah they'll soon be over it all. Nothing could dampen his excitement, not even the thought of seeing Ummul Khair plus he had some issues to settle with Abubakar, the idiot!

He had a surgery scheduled for 8am so he got into his office and began to prepare, he changed into his scrubs before picking up the file of his patient and looking over it and that was when the door opened and Abubakar stepped in.

"Hey I wanted calling you last night but I slept off. Did you find your wife?" He asked teasingly and Muhammad gave him a glare in response.

Abubakar raised an eyebrow, "what's wrong?"

"Why have you been discussing my marital issues with Ummul Khair?"

"Oh, that."

"Yes, that!" Muhammad spat out.

"I can't really remember what brought up the discussion but I just told her you deserved better than Amirah."

"That's not for you to decide or discuss with outsiders."

"C'mon man you know that's the truth and besides Ummul Khair isn't really an outsider, she's our friend."

"She's your  friend and honestly I'll appreciate it if you don't discuss I and Amirah again, it's my business and I don't want intrusion."

Abubakar raised his hand in mock surrender, "okay calm down, I sincerely hope you know what you're doing."

He left the file on the desk before walking out, leaving Abubakar behind.

"How're you Muhammad?"

"I'm fine sir." Muhammad replied falling into step with the man. Doctor Akinwummi was a senior doctor at the hospital, he was friendly and a father figure to the younger doctors.
Muhammad was just out of the mosque and Doctor Akinwummi was just coming into the hospital.

"How's your wife?" Muhammad asked him. His wife had visited the hospital few times and she'd been very nice to everyone.

"She's okay, staying home most of this days, the arthritis has gotten bad."

"Oh I'm sorry about that, please extend my regards to her."

"I will and uhmmm... Would you like to come over to the house on Sunday for dinner? Lara would really appreciate it."

Mr Akinwummi and his wife had been married for almost thirty five years but they were childless. Most of the hospital's staff had in one way or the other found themselves in the couple's house for dinner, lunch or get together. It was like they hated being lonely and were always looking for ways to get people to visit them.

"That'll be really nice sir."

The man's face broke into a large grin, "come with the wife, it'd make Lara happy, a fellow woman to talk off her ears, make sure you warn your wife."
