Amirah quickly removed her hand from AbdulRahman's grasp. Her heart rate increases and her stomach churned, the urge to throw up the chicken burger she'd so much enjoyed was becoming hard to resist.

Abubakar's glare sent chills down her spine, he abruptly turned and walked out of the restaurant just as AbdulRahman had turned to see what she was looking at.
Her gaze followed Abubakar outside and to her greatest shock, Muhammad came out of the car, Abubakar said something to him and then he looked towards the restaurant, Amirah quickly ducked down even though the windows were tinted and he couldn't see her.

Muhammad then nodded and entered the car back, Abubakar gave one last glance at the restaurant before entering the car also and they drove away.

"I'm guessing one of them was your husband." AbdulRahman said in a calm voice and she wanted to slap the calmness out of him, she was in this situation because of him!

"Can you please shut up?" She snapped at him.
He raised his hands in surrender.

"Okay, calm down Amirah."

"Calm down? I should calm down? My husband's best friend just saw you holding my hand. He didn't say a word to me and he just left now with my husband, he's definitely going to tell him and me? I should be calm because AbdulRahman said so." Her sarcasm wasn't lost on him and he had the decency to look sheepish.

"Saying you should remain calm was probably the worst thing to say..."

"It was the worst thing to say. God! Why did I come out? What am I going to say? How am I going to explain?"

Slowly a lie began forming in her head and she nodded, it sounded good enough. Now she had to go home and prepare a nice dinner for...

"Why are you freaking out? You both don't love each other, it's not like you aren't on the verge of divorce."

"We are but do you know how it'll look if he tells my parents he's divorcing me because I cheated or whatever his friend is going to tell him? My mother will kill me, my father will disown me and I'll be homeless because my elder sister wouldn't even accommodate me."

He laughed, "you're old enough to be independent."

"You clearly don't understand or give a damn about my situation and just seeing you is making everything worst."

"I'm trying to make you feel better."

"Well it isn't working. I need a solution not a feel better therapy."

When Muhammad was young, he hated his life. Being an only child and never having his mom around, she was always sick, always in and out of a hospital, never stable.
His dad was never around too, working to get money to pay his wife's never ending hospital bills.

Muhammad was mostly left under the care of a distant cousin who couldn't care less about him, he was always locked up in the house and she went about her business.
He was 10 when their house caught fire one night.

He'd been sleeping in his room when he started perceiving smoke and when he opened his eyes, he was terrified to death, all he could see was large cloud of smoke and a small voice screaming for help.
He tried to exit his room but the door handle had been too hurt, it burnt his hand and he'd recoiled after touching it.

Waking up three days later, he heard their house had caught fire due to his cousin's carelessness, she'd died in the fire. There was nothing in this world that terrified him more than fire and Abubakar knew that.
