Aang was in a large sunken enclosure in a new room, Bumi held his prisoners with him above the enclosure. Elaria watches the large goat gorilla that Bumi seemed to adore with a grimace. The beast hanged in the trees of the enclosure steadily approaching her friend. She shivered at out quietly the animal of that size could move. Aang on the other hand finds a lop-eared bunny.
Only the King and Elaria watched the real flopsy encroach upon Aang. Did he have these trials for everyone? Or is this uniquely for Aang?
"That's flopsy?" Katara asked her, "He looks so cute!" She starred at the bunny, "I agree but shouldn't we be more concerned with that?" Elaria inadvertently tried to warn Aang. She hopes that her voice could be carried to the enclosure but Aang was too distracted by his mission to hear her.
Katara finally took notice of the shadow heading to Aang, she gasped. "Why would the king-" Katara questions; horrified.
"Brilliant question to ask," Elaria hopelessly replied.
"Okay! Found him!" Aang yelled back up at them, Elaria could only close her eyes as Aang proceeded to fall into Bumi's trap. He yelled at ran away from the name he kept calling.
He had followed the assumptions that the majority of people had, rather than realizing his continuous calling of Flopsy only caused the actual Flopsy chase him; snarling at being ignored as Aang chased after the bunny. She wanted to use her airbending desperate to rely on it when her diplomacy wouldn't work; becoming antsier at her lack of power to do anything. Finally, Aang had figured it out, and he himself was carried out of the enclosure by Flopsy. The beast had reunited with Bumi, who adoringly gave him a belly rub.
Oh how she wonders how someone so wise can be so... eccentric, but then she thought back to her tea infatuated father.
Bumi smiled at Aang's enthusiasm for the next challenge, they had moved to another location, by this point Elaria and Katara were largely depending on one another to walk. They were heavily imbalanced with the weight of the creeping crystal.
Sokka had nearly fallen as he tried to examine the growing crystal that framed his face. As they walked behind Bumi and Aang, the girls leaned on one another. Keeping in pace and muttering words of encouragement to soothe their growing fear of the jennamite that was now past their heads. The location they were now in was an earthbending arena. They all stood on a balcony overlooking it. "Your final test is a duel. And as a special treat, you may choose your opponent." King Bumi told Aang.
Two men came from behind them at Bumi's words. Both looked terrifying to Elaria but she was pleasantly surprised to see the red colors of her fire nation on one of them. With his arrival, Elaria was no longer the only one wearing red, though she still stood out with the metal that shone in her hair and the fabric that screamed her royal status.
"Point and choose," Bumi commanded Aang; he studied the two men, fear on his face. Before peering at Bumi. Oh no, Aang don't do it... Elaria silently begged in her head.
"So ... you're saying whoever I point to, that's the person I get to fight?" 'have faith, have faith, have faith' She bit her lip once more, a scab starting to form, from the drying blood, pressing against her teeth.
"Choose wisely!" Bumi coerced him; he wasn't going to fight his decision if Aang were to choose someone else but Elaria knew he would be joyful if Aang did as he expected.
"I choose... you," Aang pointed at the King. Elaria sighed, her disappointment being felt by Katara; even though the girl could no longer see her with the creeping crystal.
"Have faith," Katara soothed Elaria as Elaria soothed her throughout the day. "Your right, Aang can do this," Bumi wouldn't rough him up excessively, would he?
