Byeol and Yugyeom throw a little house party

"I'm about to walk in the door, Gyeom. Chill out. Yes—I got the dip you like. Yes. Mhm. I'm hanging up!" Byeol shoved her phone in her pocket as she fished her keys out to enter her building. She entered her shared home and Yugyeom took the bags out of her hands, carrying them to the kitchen. "It's rude to hang up on your younger brother." He said and she rolled her eyes.

"I was literally walking in the building." Yugyeom chuckled, putting the groceries away. "Who's cooking for tonight?" She asked, sitting down and scrolling through her phone. The two had decided on an impromptu house party with the group and a few of their friends. "I'm ordering. Neither of us can cook without burning the place down." She hummed in agreement. "Who's all coming?"

"The guys, obviously. Jungkook-ah and Taehyung and everyone from Monsta X except for Hyungwon and Shownu." Byeol frowned a little and Yugyeom smiled sadly. "It was a long time ago, Byeol-ah." She shrugged, choosing to ignore his comment. "It's not that. Shownu-oppa isn't going to be here." Yugyeom's eyes practically fell out of his head.

"What?!" She shrugged, taking her attention off her phone. "He's cute. Sue me." Yugyeom shook his head, leaning against the counter. "I'm going to invite Chisol. Too much sausage energy." Yugyeom frowned but didn't say anything. "Sure. Cool." Byeol didn't catch the slight annoyance in his voice as she texted her friend to come to their little get together.

A few hours later, Byeol emerged from her room in her signature leggings and hoodie. She had made an effort to keep her hair down this time and attempted to put on at least some cover up. BamBam had arrived an hour ago and he scoffed at her appearance. "Seriously, Moon. Can't you dress like a girl for one night? You have people coming over."

She shrugged, grabbing a can of beer and popping it open. "Who's there to impress? It's just you all and your friends." Yugyeom placed a hand on his friends' shoulder, shaking his head. "It's no use, man. Just let her be." BamBam grumbled under his breath. "Yugyeom-ie told me that Chisol was coming." BamBam said and Byeol hummed. "Yup." She popped the 'p' at the end.

"Great." She did catch the heavy sarcasm laced in his voice and narrowed her eyes. "What?" He shook his head, grumbling that it was nothing and continued to help Yugyeom set up whatever else was left. Half and hour later the apartment was filled with people. Byeol was currently sitting with Jinyoung, Jaebeom, Youngjae, Changkyun, and Kihyun while the rest had an intense game of Mario Kart going on.

"I think we should all just go back to the dorm," Byeol said, taking another sip of her beer. Jinyoung sighed, shaking his head. "We barely live 10 minutes away from each other Moon-ah." She shrugged and Kihyun chuckled. "Enjoy it. I wish I could move out but then these fools would have no one to cook for them." Changkyun argued back and Byeol laughed as she heard their doorbell go off.

She walked to the door, opening it to reveal her friend. "Chisol! I'm glad you could make it!" She smiled but it dropped into a frown at her outfit. Byeol really, really tried not to judge people based on their clothing choice; she wore leggings and hoodies practically every day. But Chisol stood there in a crop top that was way to cropped and she was surprised you couldn't see her underboob.

Her shorts were basically non-exsistent in her opinion. Bareley even reaching the middle of her thigh. Byeol wasn't an expert on makeup, but she knew that making yourself look like a Barbie doll wasn't attractive. "I'm so glad you invited me!" She pushed past her, barely giving her a hug hello before she made her way to the kitchen. "Got any vodka?" She asked as she rummaged through their fridge.

"No. Just beer. It's not that kind of party." Chisol scrunched her nose but picked up a can of beer anyways. "Great. You look. . .comfy." She said, eyeing Byeol up and down. Byeol bit her lip; maybe she just had a bad day today. She smiled, shrugging. "I'm not much for dressing up."

"I know. Let me go say hi to everyone. Don't want to be rude."

Byeol frowned at how the conversation was cut short. She didn't understand why Chisol was acting so cold and she was trying to figure out if she had done something wrong. Her brows her furrowed as she tried to pinpoint something when Changkyun walked in to grab another drink. "You alright?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Byeol shrugged, shaking her head. "Your friend seems—uhm—friendly." Byeol chuckled. "She's definitely her own person." Changkyun hummed in response as Chisol returned to the kitchen looking like she was in heaven. "Byeol-ah! You didn't tell me you had such nice friends!" She said and Byeol smiled. "You just don't know them enough yet."

Chisol laughed, shaking her head. "You're too funny. I have a question for you!" Byeol nodded. "Do you think I could get Jackson's number? Or Jungkook's! They're super cute." Her eyelashes fluttered and Byeol frowned, shaking her head. "One, I don't have Jungkook's number. And two, it's not my place. I can't just give out other idol's numbers, Chisol. You know this. Plus, Jackson doesn't even want to see anyone right now. He's focused on his career."

Chisol scoffed, crossing her arms and turning her nose up. "What good are you then? Jeez." She spun on her heels, walking into the other room. Byeol just stood there, very confused. "You need to drop her, Byeol. That wasn't cool." Changkyun said, eyes glaring at the path Chisol just took. Byeol shrugged, biting her lip and letting the sleeves of her hoodie hang over her hands. "She's just having a bad day. I'm not feeling all that great, I'm going to bed if the others ask for me."

She slipped out of the kitchen and made it to her room without being noticed. She laid in her bed, throwing one of Mark's oversized hoodies and curling into a ball, staring at the wall.

What had she done so wrong that Chisol was so angry with her?
