The boys refuse to leave Byeol alone
Since the incident with Chungho, security at her and Yugyeom's apartment had been increased dramatically. Also, the boys had become so overprotective that Byeol was going to go crazy.
They refused to leave her alone for any reason. There was always someone at the apartment with her, always someone with her if she had to run to the store, and it felt like always someone with her just to use the bathroom.
"Bam, seriously. Just go work. I'll be fine. I have a phone now too." She waved her new phone at him. JB had bought her the best one there was and she felt much safer. At least she had a way to contact someone.
He shook his head, crossing his arms. "Nope. Group consensus: you don't go anywhere alone. Not right now." She rolled her eyes, but deep down she was more than grateful. She'd been terrified to go out alone or be left alone, but she didn't want to hinder her members.
She could work from home, her computer was here. But having her studio back was also something she really wanted. "Maybe, you can take me to the company? I can work in my studio until Yugyeom's ready to come home."
BamBam raised his eyebrow and sighed, standing up. "I don't see the harm in that. But you need to tell one of us if you need to leave. That's not an option." She nodded, promising. 30 minutes later her and BamBam were at the company.
He walked her to her studio, letting her know that he had already told everyone she was here and to expect to be checked up on from time to time. She sighed, wanting to just work in peace but she understood that they were just worried.
"I mean it, Moon." BamBam said with a serious look. "You tell us if you need to go. Do not go anywhere alone." She nodded, rolling her eyes and closing the door on him. She sat down, feeling a little more like herself being back in the studio and working.
She got to work, engrossing herself in her task at hand. There was a small smile on her face. This felt normal and not like her world was falling apart or possibly being stalked by her crazy ex. She had still refused to check any social media or any news articles. She didn't want to know and the boys respected that. She trusted them and JYP to handle it.
There was a knock at her door and Yugyeom walked in. "Hey, it's nice to see you out of the house," he teased and she chuckled, turning around. "Ready to go? I tried messaging you a few times but you didn't answer." She looked at her phone, seeing the missed texts and frowned at the time. Was it really already 10 at night?
"I'm going to stay a little longer if that's okay. I want to finish this." She nodded towards her computer screen and Yugyeom frowned. He was unsure. "It's pretty late, Moon." She frowned and he couldn't tell her no. It was the first time she'd left the house willingly in weeks. "Promise you'll call me when you're ready? I'll pick you up."
She nodded, promising him and turning back around to continue working. She worked for a few more hours, finishing the song she'd been working on and stretched in her chair. She called Yugyeom, apologizing for how late it was. "I'll be there in 10, wait inside."
She frowned. It was stuffy in here and she wanted some fresh air. "I'll just step outside for a second." She reasoned with herself, making sure to triple check no one was standing on the deserted street.
After assuring she was fine, she stepped out, making sure to stick to the shadows and just breathed in the air. Yugyeom should be here any minute. She heard a car pull up, screeching to a halt and she looked, expecting her member to be there.
Her eyes widened at the figure stomping towards her. Chungo. She tried to move back to the door, but he grabbed her wrist, twisting her around. She tried to not show how scared she was feeling, but her heart was about to beat out of her chest.
"Why the fuck did you blab about our past to the whole world?! Do you know what people think of me now?!" He was screaming and Byeol squeezed her eyes shut, feeling herself to shut down. "I didn't—it wasn't—please stop." She cursed herself for how weak her voice sounded.
He squeezed her wrist tighter and she winced. "You're hurting me." She said, voice trembling. "You couldn't keep your mouth shut! We put that all behind us, Byeol!" He squeezed tighter and she whimpered. "Chungo, please."
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" The pressure on her wrist was gone in a second and she collapsed to the ground, shaking and quietly sobbing. "Moon! Moon! Hey! Look at me!" She looked up at Yugyeom who was kneeling in front of her, pulling her up and tucking her away under his arm.
"Yugyeom-ie," she whimpered and she wrapped her in a hug, squeezing her tightly. "It's okay, I'm here. Mark-hyung scared him off. We're here, Moon." She buried her face in his chest, trying to calm down while ignoring the throbbing in her wrist.
"You idiot!" She winced at Mark's loud voice. He grabbed her shoulders, spinning her around and glaring at her. "He told you to wait inside! What were you thinking?!" She didn't say anything, body still trembling and tears still falling like waterfalls down her cheeks.
"ANSWER ME!" He bellowed and she whimpered, shrinking back. Mark wasn't angry with her. He was worried. All he could think of was what could have happened if they hadn't gotten there when they did.
He pulled her to him, squeezing her and trying to hold back his own tears. "Just wait inside next time. Please. What would we have done if something happened to you?" She didn't say anything trying to let his frame hide as much of her as she could.
"Yugyeom-ie," Mark looked at him and he nodded. "We're going to the police station. She needs to make a report. This will never happen again. Call everyone and get her in the back. I'm driving."
Yugyeom wasted no time, calling BamBam and telling him, making sure he told everyone else and he gently pulled Byeol towards the car, slipping in the back with her. She clung to his side, still sniffling and hiccupping, wrist clutched to her chest.
He frowned, worry taking over all of his being. She was hurt, she was scared and he was really afraid this was her breaking point. He didn't know if she could or would come back from this. He pulled her closer, if that was even possible, kissing her forehead.
"That bastard is getting what he deserves."
