Byeol taking care of her members

If there was one thing in life that Byeol would thank the gods for, it was GOT7. She loved her members more than anything: more than her life, more than her dreams and aspirations. She was happy that they had come into her life and that they were a permanent addition.

Whenever one of them received hate, she stepped in and would take the brunt of it. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, not caring how it would make her look or if it would throw everything she's worked for down the drain. When it came to her members, it was worth all the risks.

She'd never allow any of them to feel like they needed to shoulder the burden alone. She'd never allow any of them to feel like they didn't have someone in their corner. While she's overly affectionate at times, she knew when she needed to tone it down and be serious. But her affections were just one way she showed she cared about her members.

When Mark was feeling down that everyone got to see their family for the holiday, she was the one that surprised him with a ticket to LA. He was shocked, not even sure how she could afford a first-class ticket to LA at that point in their career. But she had made it happen and he was able to fly back to LA to see his family.

But he had surprised her by buying another ticket and inviting her along. She wasn't planning to go see family for the holiday, just hole away in the dorm and eat all the junk food she could. She had happily accepted and meeting Mark's family, seeing where he grew up, where he came from was amazing for her.

He showed her around LA, all his favorite spots plus the tourist attractions that had her eyes lighting up like fireworks. Sure, they argued and teased each other a lot more than most normal people, but he was never able to voice to her how grateful he was for her letting him see his family.

When JYP hadn't done their part in screening the winners for a video call and Mark was receiving all the hate, Byeol was right there by his side through it all. She'd take his phone away if she noticed him looking at negative comments, looking at trending tweets that weren't in his favor.

She had been the one that marched straight into JYP and gave them a piece of her mind. If they couldn't properly screen winners for contests, she would happily do it for them while firing the rest and doing their job as well. It was the one and only time Mark had ever heard her swear since knowing her.

She took the brunt of the hate though, not hesitating on calling anti's out and thus, the hate Mark was receiving was starting to be directed towards her. But she never once complained and never once left Mark's side until it had blown over and everything seemed to go back to normal.

Byeol always made sure to keep extra tissues on her during their concerts. Mark had a tendency to get sentimental and cry during them and she'd be the first one to tease him but also fish the extra tissues out of her clothes and hand them to him.

When his grandma passed, she was right there next to him on the plane ride home. During the funeral she never let go of his hand; a silent but strong reminder that she was there and he could rely on her. And he did. She'd never seen Mark cry so hard in her life. She held him, letting him cry it out until he would fall asleep and then make sure she was up extra early with a steaming cup of his favorite coffee.

She had the pleasure of being able to teach him Korean. She left out the bad words because that wasn't her and she didn't want to teach him all the bad things. She stayed late with him at the company building, teaching him. She would tease him, causing him to throw things in frustration. But she was patient and eventually, he was speaking Korean as if he had lived there his whole life.

Byeol had grown used to Mark being quiet. He was never one to verbally say what he was feeling or what was going on. He had a "yandere" type personality; he'd show he cares through his actions but voicing them aloud was a rarity. He always said he was the oldest and while he may act like the youngest sometimes, he felt the burden of needing to be strong to and a role model for the others.

Byeol wasn't always good at picking up when someone wasn't feeling their best or when they were struggling, but after a few years she knew Mark's tell-tale signs. He wouldn't really smile, wouldn't make eye contact with any of them, would talk even less than he normally did. She knew better than to just outright ask him what was wrong, but she'd always linger around until he got annoyed enough to tell her.

While she wasn't the best at giving him advice, she was happy being the ear that he could let everything out on. He didn't necessarily need her to give him advice. She knew well enough that BamBam or Jinyoung could do that for him. She just needed to give him the space to talk, get everything off his chest without the fear of judgement. Byeol was more than happy to be that person.

And it was Mark that gave her the stage name she has now: Moon. Sure, roughly translated that's what her name means, but Mark solidified it. He had asked her to go for a walk with him and while it was late and she was absolutely exhausted, she could tell by the worry lines on his face that he needed to let off steam. So she happily agreed.

They found themselves laying in the grass, staring up at the particularly clear sky that night. You could see the stars and the moon was shining brightly. Mark had just spent thirty minutes ranting on about what was wrong and felt much more at ease. Byeol stared at the sky, eyes filled with wonder. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" She said quietly.

Mark hummed, but he wasn't looking at the sky. He was looking at her. And sure, while she was in her pajama pants and one of Yugyeom's oversized hoodies; and sure while her hair was just thrown messily up in a bun and she didn't have any makeup on, she looked beautiful. And it was in that moment when Mark realized just how much Byeol was truly there for him.

She never failed, even when she was utterly exhausted, to go out with him if he asked. She always stayed up into the late hours of the night with him if he needed her too, without him even having to ask. She just knew. Never once had she complained, and Mark found that it was rather comforting to have her there to listen when he needed it. He'd always be there to do the same for her.

The moon was illuminating her already pale skin and he grinned at the large smile on her face. It took little things like being able to see the stars or just seeing a duck in a pond to make her happy. Mark quickly realized Byeol was his moon. His light in the dark when it seemed there was no way to escape it.

"You're just as beautiful, Moon." He said quietly and she chuckled, scrunching her nose. "Moon. I like that." Mark scoffed, making some remark that of course she should like it because he's the one that came up with it. Byeol only smiled, knowing he was just embarrassed for letting some feelings show through his "tough boy" exterior he pretended to have.

"You are my moon." He whispered quietly. Byeol smiled, grabbing his hand and giving it a gently squeeze.

She liked that idea.
