Byeol's ex-boyfriend makes a not-so-surprise visit
It was debut day and everyone was hastily running around trying to get last minute preparations in order. Byeol was bouncing her leg up and down mercilessly, nerves finally starting to set in. "You look like a kangaroo," Mark teased and Byeol let out a nervous laugh.
"You'll do great, Moon. Don't worry too much." He said and she offered him a half-hearted smile, nodding her head. She heard her phone ding, but before she could reach for it Mark had already swiped it off the small counter and was reading the message. "Ooo, who's Chungho?" Byeol's eyes widened a little and she reached for her phone.
"Give it back, Mark!" She shrieked and she just stood up, raising his arms above his head so she couldn't reach. "He called you baby." He teased and Byeol froze, making a gagging noise. JB walked over, grabbing the phone out of Mark's hands and handing it to her. "Leave her alone, hyung. And who's Chungho?" He asked and Byeol sighed.
"Stupid monkey face." She said and it was like all 7 boys heard amongst all the chaos, all their attention directly focused on her. "I thought you didn't talk to him?" Yugyeom said and Byeol nodded. "I don't. But apparently he's here to watch me debut. He's proud." She scoffed and BamBam clenched his fist.
They knew of her ex; she'd openly talked about him before. He had cheated on her, broken her heart and trust. That wasn't someone they wanted to be associated with nor let around their newly found little sister. "Okay so here's what we're going to do," Jackson said.
"We'll invite him up on stage and when he goes to give his big speech, BOOM, a bucket of pig blood spills all over him." Byeol laughed, excitedly agreeing. Jinyoung rolled his eyes. "How late were you up watching movies last night?" Jackson shrugged, feigning innocence. "It was just a suggestion." Youngjae chimed in, "I like it. We can switch our concept real quick."
JB shook his head, but he also wasn't opposed to taking some sort of revenge out on ChungHOE. Whoops. Chungho, silly mix-up. "Just don't go running off, okay? Stay by one of us the whole time." Byeol nodded, she'd have to refrain from the friend making activities today. Which was a shame, there was so many idols here and she'd already run off and befriended a few of them.
Their stage went beautifully perfect and Byeol couldn't contain her excitement. She had jumped on Jackson's back as he ran around backstage, screaming and hollering with excitement. This time, everyone was acting the same, all happy and riled up from their stage. They had finally debuted.
It wasn't until Byeol had jumped down from Jackson's back and accidentally ran into someone that the excitement dissipated for a moment. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't—oh. It's you." She said, frowning. "Hello to you too." Her ex said, acting hurt by her reaction. "What do you want, Chungho?"
"Better yet, how'd you even get back here?" Mark said, stepping in front of her. Byeol rolled her eyes. She appreciated the sentiment, but besides height, she knew that he'd definitely lose in a fight. She side-stepped, standing next to him. "I just wanted to talk to Byeol." He said and JB stepped forward. "I don't think so. We're pretty busy so—"
"It's fine, oppa." Byeol murmured, gently grabbing his hand. He sighed, but he could never say no to her. "Fine. But we're standing right over there." He pointed to the wall only a few feet away. She nodded, smiling brightly. "Sounds good to me!" They walked off, Jackson keeping a death glare on the pair.
"I wish she didn't trust so easily." He muttered and Yugyeom hummed in agreement. "Just keep an eye on them." JB said. Byeol sighed, fiddling with her braid. "What do you want, Chungho?" He sighed, grabbing her wrist and it took everything in her not to flinch away. She was an idol now, she had to feign nice even if she didn't want to be.
"You looked great up there, Byeol-ah. I know it was always your dream." She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "So, what? Now that I'm being noticed you want to get back together?" She said and his lips turned into a frown. "Do you really think that lowly of me?"
"Yep. I mean, you did stick your joystick in some other girl." She shrugged and had to keep the smirk hidden on her face when she heard BamBam from behind her cheering her on. Chungho's eyes hardened and he looked around. "Can we talk somewhere more privately?"
He tried to pull her away, grip on her wrist getting tighter the more she resisted. Her wrist was now hurting and she was biting the inside of her cheek. Youngjae noticed right away, stepping forward quickly with the other 6 following right behind him. "You need to let her go. Now." Youngjae said, placing his grip on the other boy's. He scoffed, muttering a whatever and stormed away.
"You okay?" Youngjae asked and Byeol nodded. "I'm fine." Youngjae gently picked up her wrist. "You bruise easily." He said and she nodded, moving her wrist and wincing when she felt slight pain. "He better hope he got far because once I get to him—"
"Don't worry about it, Jackson. I'm fine. Can you just get me some ice? I don't want it to swell." Jackson muttered under his breath but went and got an ice pack as she followed the rest of them to their dressing room. "Well, that kinda killed the mood, huh." Yugyeom said, sitting next to Byeol and holding the ice pack to her wrist.
She nuzzled into his side, shaking her head and yawning. "Nope! I'm still happy and excited. But I'm also really tired." She said and Yugyeom chuckled, patting her head. "Too tired to party when we get home?!" Jackson exclaimed and Byeol shook her head. "I could go for some shots." Yugyeom and BamBam yelled in agreement.
"You're underage." Jinyoung said and Byeol shook her hand at him. "We'll be in the comfort of our dorm, mom." She teased and he shook his head. "We have practice tomorrow, Moon." He said and she shrugged, laying her head back on Yugyeom's shoulder.
"You have practice tomorrow. I'm sleeping in."
