Byeol accompanies Mark to the airport
Byeol sat in silence in the car and stared out the window. Mark was leaving Korea today to go back home. To his family and old friends. As happy as Byeol was for him, she couldn't help but feel a weight in her chest.
She had been with Mark for years. She didn't know what life without Mark in it was like. Obviously, she knew that he was still going to be in her life. But the idea of not really knowing the next time she would see him in person again was worrying her. If she could, she would go with him.
She knew she was being a little dramatic but the boys were all she has had for years now. Sure, she was friends with others and had a good relationship with the other girls, but these were her people. The people she considered her family. "You're doing it again."
She glanced at Yugyeom who had grabbed her hand and squeezed it a little to tight. "Holy moly are you trying to break my fingers?! I need these to make a living, Kim Yugyeom!" She held her hand up, wiggling her fingers and Yugyeom only rolled his eyes. "Yeah. You'll be fine." He muttered and sunk down in the seat, head resting against the window.
Byeol sighed, looking up at her manager to make sure he wasn't looking as he unclicked her seatbelt. She slide right next to Yugyeom, placing her head on his shoulder and grabbing his hand. "I'll miss him too. But this isn't forever, Yugs." She murmured and he hummed in response.
Byeol sometimes forgot that the boys were literally all they really had too. Hell, Jaebeom and Mark practically raised Yugyeom and BamBam. They were literal babies when they first came into the company. She squeezed his hand gently as they pulled up.
Mark was already out and talking to Jaebeom and Jackson. He looked happy and that's all the confirmation Byeol needed to keep her emotions in check until he was on the plane. She jumped out, running up to him and completely forgetting that just seconds ago she promised to keep her emotions in check.
She practically tackled him, arms wrapped tight around his waist as she buried her face into his chest. "You really have to go?" She said and Mark smiled, wrapping an arm around her. "I do, Moon. Thanks for coming." She looked up at him and saw his eyes were a little glossy. She stepped back, shaking her head and covering his eyes.
"Moon, what are you doing?!" Jaebeom asked and she held her other hand up to silence him. "You listen here, Mark Tuan. If you start crying I'm going to start crying and if I start crying I'm not going to stop and it's going to be an ugly cry. The paparazzi will have a field day. So, keep those waterworks in until I'm not by you."
Jackson chuckled, removing her hand and pulling her next to him. "We should've called you tiger." He teased and she only elbowed him in his ribs. They talked for a few minutes, taking some pictures. "Lemme at least walk you to the entrance. Please?" Byeol looked up at him and he sent her a smile, holding his arm out. "C'mon, lady."
She latched on to his arm like a leech, in hopes to slow him down some. "I'm really going to miss you, oppa." She murmured. Mark smiled again and blinked a few times. "I'll miss you too, Byeol. But, I'll call every day and we can video chat all the time." She looked up at him with teary eyes. "Promise?" She held out her pinky and Mark linked his with hers. "Promise."
"You've kinda gotta let me go so I walk in, Moon." He teased and she took in a shaky breath before slowly detaching her arm. He stopped, grabbing her hand and squeezing it and pulling her to his chest. She breathed in his scent. "Y-you come visit anytime, okay? I'm serious. I'll pick you up and everything." She almost started sobbing right there at his choked up voice.
"Maybe in a few weeks?" He nodded, kissing the top of her head. "Okay, I really have to go now." She watched him grab his bags and turn to leave. "Hey," she called out and he turned around. "If you ever miss me too much, just look at the sky. I am your Moon after all." She winked and skipped off.
Mark chuckled, shaking his head and making his way through the airport. As he was on the plane, he looked out at the moon and smiled. She wasn't wrong. She was all of their Moon.
But she would always be his Moon.
