Byeol taking care of her members
If there was one thing in life that Byeol would thank the gods for, it was GOT7. She loved her members more than anything: more than her life, more than her dreams and aspirations. She was happy that they had come into her life and that they were a permanent addition.
Whenever one of them received hate, she stepped in and would take the brunt of it. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, not caring how it would make her look or if it would throw everything she's worked for down the drain. When it came to her members, it was worth all the risks.
She'd never allow any of them to feel like they needed to shoulder the burden alone. She'd never allow any of them to feel like they didn't have someone in their corner. While she's overly affectionate at times, she knew when she needed to tone it down and be serious. But her affections were just one way she showed she cared about her members.
Byeol marched into their dorm, eyes searching wildly for her younger member. Jaebeom had called her a few minutes ago, asking her to check-up on Yugyeom because he had just called him in tears. Jaebeom had briefly told her what Yugyeom had told him and she was pissed to say the least.
However, she would deal with the perpetrator of his tears later. Right now, she needed to make sure that he was okay. She found him in his room, curled on his bed and sniffling here and there. "Yugs?" She called out quietly and he jumped up. "Noona! What are you doing here?"
She rolled her eyes and scoffed at him. "What do you mean what I am doing here? I live here. What are you doing here?" He chuckled a little, averting his gaze to the floor. She knew he was trying to hide the fact that he had been crying. "I live here too," he said.
She sighed, sitting next to him. "Why didn't you tell me?" Yugyeom only shrugged his shoulders. "Because it's just messing around. Just boy things I guess. I'll be fine. I talked to Jaebeom hyung and I feel better. He said we'd talk about it more when he got home today." Byeol hummed, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning on him.
"It's not messing around if it makes you feel bad. Who is it?" She asked and Yugyeom only shook his head. "No one! It's fine, noona. Seriously. Don't worry about it." She raised her eyebrow, pulling away and looking at him. "Are you really going to make me bother JB at his filming site to tell me who it is?" Yugyeom groaned, wishing the girl would leave it alone and let their leader handle it.
However, he knew Byeol would bug Jaebeom and Jaebeom would get annoyed with her and tell her just so she would leave him alone. So, Yugyeom told her and she hummed again. "Are you okay? Really?" She asked again and Yugyeom nodded. "Better than I was. It felt nice to tell someone. I've been keeping it to myself for a while."
"How long is a while?"
"A few months."
"WHAT?!" Byeol stood up, looking at the boy in disbelief. This has been going on for months and he didn't say anything to anyone?! "I'll be back," she muttered, grabbing a random hoodie on the ground and throwing it over her head. Yugyeom's eyes went wide and he jumped to follow behind her. "Just stay here! Where are you going?!"
However, Byeol didn't offer him an answer and Yugyeom hated that when she was determined it was as if her legs took steps larger than his. He jogged behind her the whole time, breaking into a sprint to grab her when he saw the company in front of them. "Byeol! Please! Just leave it alone for now!"
She shook his grasp off, giving him a pointed look. "No one told you to come with me. Stay out here. I'll only be a few minutes." Yugyeom sighed in frustration. He could only see this going bad, not fixing anything. He followed her inside nonetheless, keeping Jaebeom on speed dial.
Yugyeom's eyes went wide as she marched right up to the boy who had been messing with him the past few months. There was no way this was going to end well. Byeol was easily a foot shorter than him, let alone she had no muscle while this trainee had earned the nickname Hulk because of how bulky he was. Yugyeom was just a twig himself, there was no way he could stop anything.
Byeol, however, didn't seem to care about the height and size difference. She marched right up to the boy, tapping on his shoulder, crossing her arms over her chest with her glare fixed on him. "Oh, Byeol-ah! Hello!" The boy bowed to her and Byeol scoffed, rolling her eyes. He looked confused.
"You're nice to save face but behind closed doors you like to pick on people, hmm? One of my members at that?" He voice was cold and hard, something Yugyeom had never heard from her before. She was always so perky and bubbly. The boys eyes grew a shade darker and he glared down at Byeol. "I haven't been picking on anyone," he said through gritted teeth.
Byeol let out a laugh of disbelief, pinching the bridge of her nose. Before Yugyeom could react or the large male in front of her, she had him pinned against the wall. Yugyeom was shocked—absolutely floored—that someone as small as her had that much strength in her.
"Listen you lump of lard," she hissed into his hear and Yugyeom could see the boys adam's apple bob up and down in a gulp, "you're going to leave my member alone, along with any other trainees you've been picking on. I hear anything else happening with anyone, you can kiss a career in this field goodbye. Got it?" The boy nodded furiously and Byeol released him with a smile, brushing fake dust off his shoulder. "Good."
She spun on her heels, linking her arm with Yugyeom's and pulling him along. Yugyeom was still in shock, finally getting his senses back when they stepped outside and he stopped in his tracks, jerking Byeol back. "What even was that? Are you human?" Byeol laughed at him, patting his cheek with her hand.
"I'm full of many surprises, my love. But that used a lot of my energy and I could go for a smoothie. My treat!" She skipped away and Yugyeom followed after her with a smile on his face. He wasn't sure if her doing what she did was the best idea, but the fact that she risked her image and possibly spot in the company for him made him feel all the more grateful.
Yugyeom would never doubt in his life that Byeol didn't have his back. Ever.
