*Lunchtime*

Noah, Grace, Jason and I are sitting in the canteen. I'm sat next to Jason while Grace is sat by Noah opposite us.

Jason: Apparently, there's a new girl in our year.

Grace: Oh? Who told you that?

Jason: James did. He mentioned it in science.

Me: You didn't tell me.

Jason: Well, you don't exactly sit near James and I in science.

Me: Where is James anyway?

Jason: Media catchup.

Noah: Reckon the new girls hot?

Grace sharply nudges Noah.

Noah: Ow! Is this 'Abuse Noah Day' or something?!

Grace gives him a dirty look.

Grace: You still ain't spoke to Alisha and here you are hoping this new girl is 'hot'.

Me: You still haven't spoken to her?

Grace: No he hasn't. But he's going to. AREN'T you?

Noah: What's the point? She probably hates my guts anyway.

Grace: I wouldn't blame her if she did! I'd hate you too if I was in her position. And what do you mean, 'what's the point'?!

Jason: Noah, take this from another male's perspective.

Me: Oh God, here we go.

Jason: If two people have sex with each other, it's something special between them. If you just ignore them completely after it, you can make them feel really shitty. Used.

Grace: 'Something special'. Please don't ever say that again.

Noah: Jason, it was drunk sex, there was nothing 'special' about it. No feelings attached.

Me: Whether it was or not, Jase has a valid point. You did it with Alisha and you haven't properly spoken to her since that night. She's probably feeling shitty, and personally I think she's upset. More quiet than usual.

Noah: Why would she be upset?

Grace shakes her head.

Grace: I seriously can't believe you JUST asked that.

I stand up and all 3 of them look at me.

Me: Get your stuff Noah, we're going to find Alisha right now.

Grace: 'We'? Em, he has to do this on his own --

Me: I know. I'm just making sure that he does actually talk to her.

I glance at Noah.

Me: C'mon, up you get. Before I personally drag you out of your seat.

Jason: She's not bluffing either. She'll actually do it, you know.

Noah stands up slowly, looking a bit worried, flinging his bag onto his back.

Me: If this takes up the rest of lunch, I'll see you in p.e.

Grace: Yeah. See ya.

Jason: Don't worry Noah, it'll be fine.

Noah: Sure it will.

Noah doesn't look the slightest bit happy.

We both exit the canteen.
