*Finn's pov*
It's absolutely great to be back. And to be back with my old group of friends is even better. Emma is laughing at a joke I've told her. Gosh, I love her laugh. James and Grace are walking ahead of us.
Me: Christ, that was hilarious Finn.
I grin.
Finn: I'm glad you like it.
We stop just outside her classroom.
Me: Well, here's my lesson. I really can't be bothered.
She sighs.
Finn: You'll be fine, at least you ain't got Geography.
Me: I've got it tomorrow though.
Finn: Oh dear, it is a hard life for you.
She pouts.
Me: Oh shush.
She's so cute when she pouts. Nothing changes.
Me: Will I see you at lunch?
Finn: If you guys want me around, then yeah.
Me: Of course we want you around! You're part of the group even if you have been absent for two years.
I grin.
Finn: Then I'll see you at lunch.
Me: Meet us just outside the maths building. We have extra maths there, so just wait for us there.
Finn: Will do. See you later.
Me: See ya!
I badly want to hug her but I don't think this time it'll be acceptable. I smile at her instead, wave at Grace and James then start walking towards the humanity huts.
*Back to my pov*
I grin as I watch Finn walk away. So this must have been what Hayden was going on about last night! What a great surprise!
It's then that I realise that Grace and James are not next to me. I turn around and spot them standing in the line, looking at me. I bounce over to them.
Me: Why you over here for?
James: We were just giving you two some space.
Me: It's nothing like that James.
Grace gives me a look that I know all too well. I look away.
James: Yeah we know that. Of course we don't think you fancy Finn.
I'm waiting for him to start smirking, however there's no hint of humour. I mentally give a sigh of relief.
As we're walking into the classroom, Grace is still giving me that look with a smirk. I wish she would stop. It's a good job that James doesn't sit near us. As soon as he's out of earshot, I round on her.
Me: Why are you giving me that look?
Grace: Oh nothing.
Me: I actually thought you had told him y'know!
Grace: Oh Em, you know I wouldn't. You swore me to secrecy. I stand by that. I won't say anything unless you give me permission.
Me: I don't want James to know ever. Or the others.
Grace: Do you still... you know?
Me: Grace, that was back in year 9. I haven't seen him for two years. Those feelings left ages ago. It was only a little crush, remember?
