*Sky's pov*
How could Jaeden just allow me to get drenched in this weather? How is that fair? It's cruel and mean. The least he could of done was offer to give me a lift back home. But no, his pride has got the better of him and he'd rather defend this bitch who slaps me. I'm his cousin! He should be taking MY side! And why is he getting so wound up over the argument I had with Hayden? He should be happy that I was trying to stop an abortion - he says it wouldn't bother him, but that'd be his own child. He'd have to feel something otherwise that's heartless.
I will get my own back. On both of them. I've had enough of people treating me like shit. It's bad enough that at home, I have to put up with it. I don't need other people contributing to it.
I finally arrive home, my parents are in the living room watching TV. I quietly make my way up the stairs, itching to get these soaking wet clothes that are clinging onto me, off. So as soon as I'm in my bedroom, I do just that.
Now sat on my bed, in comfortable pyjamas, my mind starts to process exactly what just happened on Jaeden's doorstep and my eyes fill up with tears. I hate falling out with him - but at the same time, I'm angry he's taking her side. But why? I've known him longer! Unless there's something going on...
You know what? I don't know and maybe I don't want to know.
*Jaeden's pov*
Jaeden: Thanks for coming over. Coffee?
Wyatt: It's okay and sure. Why don't I make the coffees though?
He shoots me a look that says 'don't argue with me', so I just shrug and stay sat down. Wyatt stands up and gets cracking with the drinks.
Jaeden: You might wanna make a 3rd drink. Jack's coming and knowing him, he'll want his caffeine fix.
Wyatt: Thought as much. Let's just hope he arrives while his fix is hot.
I manage a smirk. Jack had said on the phone that he'd be here, of course he would be he had said. But 99% of the time, Jack has company with a girl and if he's late meeting up with us - we know why. No need to throw a search party when it comes to Jack.
Wyatt: And if it gets cold, he can bloody well make himself a fresh one.
Jaeden: (grins) Damn right. He'll be well chuffed with that.
Wyatt finishes the drinks, then places them onto the table. He sits down opposite me.
Wyatt: So, you gonna tell me what's bothering you? And don't say "nothing" because I know that's a lie. I know you too well.
Jaeden: (sighs) Sky had one of her 'episodes' on my doorstep.
Wyatt: Oh shit. How bad?
Jaeden: Quite bad. She started kicking the door. (runs hand through hair) It was a complete nightmare.
Wyatt: I bet it was! Jeez Jae, how'd ya cope?
Jaeden: Just remained calm, I guess. Threatened to phone the police if she didn't leave. Worked in the end.
Wyatt: Well, I say you handled it very well. But what the hell set her off this time?
Jaeden: It's quite a long story. Basically --
My words are cut off as we hear the front door open - then in walks Jack.
