Are We Normal Yet?

~Chapter 28~

*The next day*

I wake up to a quiet, empty room. Which confuses me to start with. I mean, where is Tia?

I stand up and stretch. Draco is still curled up asleep on my bed. I walk over to my window, opening the curtains. Hmm, Hayden's car ain't there. I shrug. He's obviously at college today.

I head downstairs, expecting to see Jase and Tia rushing around getting ready for school - nope. No one.

I mean, they might still be in bed?

Enjoying the silence, I head into the kitchen and pour myself some cereal 'Cheerios'. I sit down and get stuck into my breakfast. I do love a good bowl of cereal in the morning.

I finish my cereal and still, it's quiet. Okay, where the hell are they? I mean, Tia is sharing my room so where would she be sleeping? There's no way she'll be in Jason's room. Maybe, she's taken Draco for a quick walk? That's a nice thought actually.

As I'm washing up my bowl, (to save my mum the hassle) there's a knock on the door. Puzzled, I head to go see who has decided to pay a visit. I open the door and--

Me: Jaeden?

Jaeden: Em? (frowns) You not in school today?

He's wearing a red and black stripey top, with blue jeans.

Me: What do you mean? School hasn't started yet.

He's silent for a few moments, looking at me. Like,really looking at me.

Me: Umm... (blushes slightly)

Jaeden: You've just woken up, haven't you?

Me: Yes... I always wake up at this time.

Jaeden: At quarter to eleven on a Friday?

Wait what?

Me: Huh?

Jaeden: (smiles slightly) It's 10:45 Em.

Me: Oh. Oh shit. I overslept?

Jaeden: (chuckles) Looks like it.

Me: (grumbles) Nice of my brothers and cousin to wake me up.

Jaeden: (leans on the door frame) Maybe they didn't want to wake you? Maybe they thought you should be left alone?

Me: But I've never overslept before! Hayden or Jase always makes sure I don't. Oh, I'm so confused!

Jaeden: (runs hand through his hair) I dunno Em.

Gosh, here's Jaeden standing on my doorstep looking flipping great, hot even, and here's me standing probably looking like I've been dragged through a bush backwards. Bloody brilliant.

Me: Um, aren't you meant to be in college today?

Jaeden: I didn't sleep well last night.. I'm not going today.

Me: (raises an eyebrow) Why didn't you sleep well? Are you okay? Do you want to come in?

Jaeden: Well, aren't you gonna go into school today?

Hmm, should I? Or stay home and hang out with Jaeden? Hmmm..

Me: Nah, I'll stay home. (shrugs) Besides, it's that detention today and staying home means I get to miss it completely.
