*Sky's pov*
I'm standing next to the coffee table, Jaeden walks in and sits on the sofa. He don't look at me.
Sky: Are you gonna tell me what's going on?
Jaeden: No.
Sky: Why not? Is Emma okay?
Jaeden: (scoffs) Only five minutes ago, you were being horrid to her.
Sky: Hey! I said I was sorry! Once she left the room, I thought she was crying and I realised I might had gone too far.
Jaeden: You did.
Sky: Jaeden look at me, for fuck sake!
He looks up at me - with a grim look on his face.
Sky: You tell me what's going on! And by the way, you've got noticeable hickeys on your neck.
Jaeden: Gee thanks, I totally didn't notice them myself while I was in the bathroom.
Sky: Okay what is up with you? I said sorry! I know it don't make what I said acceptable, but nobody is perfect. I just wanna help.
Jaeden: Listen Sky, my head is pounding, my back stings, I feel like I'm not gonna be able to stomach food. I'm really not in the mood, so if you want to help, you can do me a favour by getting a glass of water and two paracetamol.
Sky: Yeah, of course.
I head into the kitchen, filling a glass up with water and getting the tablets out.
It suddenly hits me.
Sky: Oh.
I walk back in and place the water and tablets on the coffee table. Jaeden has his head in his hands.
Sky: You didn't use protection, did you?
Jaeden: (looks up at me) No.
Sky: (sits down next to me) Honestly Jae, don't start worrying. There's no way there's a baby inside of her right now. It don't work like that.
Jaeden: Yeah, I know, but doesn't mean it's not all in the process of slowly becoming one.
Sky: Look, I'm no expert, but some people get lucky. Some don't get caught.
Jaeden: (gives me a look) Oh sure. Sounds likely. (swallows the tablets and water)
He then stands up.
Sky: Why exactly are you going to the chemist? A test won't tell you anything THIS early.
Jaeden: Em is not getting a test. She's after that morning-after pill. Whatever it's called.
Sky: Oh. That's good Jae, really good. As long as it's taken within, I think, 72 hours after..y'know, it should definitely work. Do you want me to go with her?
Jaeden: I'm taking her.
Sky: But you're hung over, driving wouldn't be sensible.
Jaeden: Sky, I appreciate the concern, but this is mine and Em's problem. If anyone should be taking her, it's me. Besides, I don't think you're her most favourite person right now.
Sky: Mhm, true that. Well, is there anything I can do?
Jaeden: Yeah, find her phone.
He leaves.
